INDIAN ARMY, ARMY RECRUITING OFFICE HQ SHILLONG INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR SOLDIER GENERAL DUTY, SOLDIER TECHNICAL (NURSING ASSISTANT), SOLDIER TECHNICAL, SOLDIER CLERK/ STORE KEEPER TECHNICAL AND SOLDIER TRADESMAN. LAST DATE — 18/04/2020

 

1. SOLDIER GENERAL DUTY

Educational Qualification: Class 10th/ Matric pass with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% marks in each subject. For Boards following grading system minimum of D Grade (33-40) in individual subjects or grade which contains 33% and overall aggregate of C2 grade.

Age Limit: Minimum 17 ½ years and maximum 21 years.

 

2. SOLDIER TECHNICAL (NURSING ASSISTANT)

Educational Qualification: 10+2/ Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 50% marks aggregate and 40% marks in each subject.
OR
10+2/ Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and English with minimum 50% marks aggregate and 40% marks in each subject.

Age Limit: Minimum 17 ½ years and maximum 23 years.

 

3. SOLDIER TECHNICAL

Educational Qualification: 10+2/ Intermediate Examination pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Math and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject.

Age Limit: Minimum 17 ½ years and maximum 23 years.

 

4. SOLDIER CLERK/ STORE KEEPER TECHNICAL

Educational Qualification: i) 10+2/ Intermediate Exam pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce and Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% marks in each subject.
ii) Securing 50% in English and Math/ Account/ Book Keeping in class 12th is mandatory.

Age Limit: Minimum 17 ½ years and maximum 23 years.

 

5. SOLDIER TRADESMAN (10TH PASS)

Educational Qualification: Class 10th Simple Pass. No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored minimum 33% in each subject.

Age Limit: Minimum 17 ½ years and maximum 23 years.

 

6. SOLDIER TRADESMAN (08TH PASS)

Educational Qualification: Class 08th Simple Pass (for Syce, House Keeper and Mess Keeper). No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored minimum 33% in each subject.

Age Limit: Minimum 17 ½ years and maximum 23 years.

 

Only candidates of all districts of Meghalaya are eligible to apply.

Army Recruitment Rally for the posts will be held from 04th May, 2020 to 06th May, 2020 at Assam Regimental Centre, Happy Valley Shillong.

 

Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 160 cm (157 cm for posts at Sl. no. 2 and 3). Height permissible for Gorkha candidates is 157 Cms; Chest (unexpanded) — 77 cm; Chest (expanded) — 82 cm; Weight — 48 kg
Note: Relaxation in physical standard will be as per Govt. norms. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.

Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement Test, Medical Test and Written Test.
