INDIAN ARMY, ARMY RECRUITING OFFICE SAMBALPUR INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR SOLDIER GENERAL DUTY, SOLDIER TECHNICAL, SOLDIER NURSING ASSISTANT/ NURSING ASSISTANT VETERINARY, SOLDIER CLERK/ STORE KEEPER TECHNICAL/ INVENTORY MANAGEMENT AND SOLDIER TRADESMAN (ALL ARMS). LAST DATE — 06/04/2020
1. SOLDIER GENERAL DUTY
Educational Qualification: Class 10th/ Matric pass with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject. For Boards following grading system minimum of D grade (33-40) in individual subjects or grade which contains 33% and overall aggregate C2 grade.
Age Limit: Minimum 17 ½ years and maximum 21 years as on 01/10/2020.
2. SOLDIER TECHNICAL
Educational Qualification: 10+2/ Intermediate Exam Pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% in each subject.
Age Limit: Minimum 17 ½ years and maximum 23 years as on 01/10/2020.
3. SOLDIER NURSING ASSISTANT/ NURSING ASSISTANT VETERINARY
Educational Qualification: 10+2/ Intermediate Exam Pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% marks in each subject.
OR
10+2/ Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% marks in each subject.
Age Limit: Minimum 17 ½ years and maximum 23 years as on 01/10/2020.
4. SOLDIER CLERK/ STORE KEEPER TECHNICAL/ INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
Educational Qualification: i) 10+2/ Intermediate Exam Pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% marks in each subject.
ii) Securing 50% in English and Math/ Accounts/ Book Keeping in Class 12th is mandatory.
Age Limit: Minimum 17 ½ years and maximum 23 years as on 01/10/2020.
5. SOLDIER TRADESMAN (ALL ARMS)
Educational Qualification: i) Class 10th Simple Pass.
ii) No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored minimum 33% in each subject.
Age Limit: Minimum 17 ½ years and maximum 23 years as on 01/10/2020.
6. SOLDIER TRADESMAN (ALL ARMS)
Educational Qualification: i) Class 8th Simple pass (For Syce, House Keeper and Mess Keeper).
ii) No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored minimum 33% in each subject.
Age Limit: Minimum 17 ½ years and maximum 23 years as on 01/10/2020.
Only Male candidates of districts Angul, Balangir, Bargarh, Dhenkanal, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Subarnapur and Sundargarh of State Odisha are eligible to apply.

Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 169 cm (162 cm for Soldier Clerk/ Store Keeper Technical/ Inventory Management); Chest (unexpanded) — 77 cm (76 cm for Soldier Tradesman); Chest (expanded) — 82 cm (81 cm for Soldier Tradesman); Weight — 50 kg (48 kg for Soldier Tradesman)
Cut-off in Physical Standards: For candidates belonging to certain categories/ communities or of certain States/Areas; the cut-off in such candidate’s Height/ Chest’s measurement will be as per Govt. norms. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement Test, Medical Test and Written Test Through Common Entrance Examination (CEE).
