INDIAN ARMY, ARMY RECRUITING OFFICE HQ CHENNAI INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR SOLDIER TECHNICAL, SOLDIER TECHNICAL NURSING ASSISTANT (AMC)/ NURSING ASSISTANT VETERINARY (RVC), SOLDIER GENERAL DUTY (ALL ARMS), SOLDIER TRADESMAN (ALL ARMS) AND SOLDIER CLERK/ STORE KEEPER TECHNICAL (ALL ARMS). 1. SOLDIER TECHNICAL
Educational Qualification: 10+2/ Intermediate Examination pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject.
Age Limit: Between 17 years 06 months to 23 years as on 01/10/2020.
2. SOLDIER TECHNICAL NURSING ASSISTANT (AMC)/ NURSING ASSISTANT VETERINARY (RVC)
Educational Qualification: 10+2/ Intermediate exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% marks in each subject.
OR
10+2/ Intermediate exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% marks in each subject.
Age Limit: Between 17 years 06 months to 23 years as on 01/10/2020.
3. SOLDIER GENERAL DUTY (ALL ARMS)
Educational Qualification: Class 10th/ Matric pass with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject. For boards following grading system minimum of D Grade (33-40) in individual subjects or grade which contains 33% and overall aggregate of C2 grade.
Age Limit: Between 17 years 06 months to 21 years as on 01/10/2020.
4. SOLDIER TRADESMAN (ALL ARMS)
Educational Qualification: i) Class 8th simple pass (for Syce, House Keeper and Mess Keeper).
OR
Class 10th Simple Pass.
ii) No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored minimum 33% in each subject.
Age Limit: Between 17 years 06 months to 23 years as on 01/10/2020.
5. SOLDIER CLERK/ STORE KEEPER TECHNICAL (ALL ARMS)
Educational Qualification: i) 10+2/ Intermediate Exam pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, and Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% marks in each subject.
ii) Securing 50% marks in English and Maths/ Accounts/ Book Keeping in class 12th is mandatory.
Age Limit: Between 17 years 06 months to 23 years as on 01/10/2020.
NOTE: Only candidates from eleven districts of Tamilnadu namely Cuddalore, Vellore, Tirupathur, Ranipet Tiruvannamalai, Chennai, Tiruvallur, Vilupuram, Kallakurichi, Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu and Puducherry Dist of Puducherry (UT) are eligible to apply.
Army Recruitment Rally for the posts will be conducted from 15th April, 2020 to 25th April, 2020 at Arunai Engineering College Stadium, Tiruvannamalai (Tamil Nadu).
Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 166 cm (165 cm for posts at Sl. no. 1 & 2 and 162 cm for post at Sl. no. 5); Chest (unexpanded) — 77 cm (76 cm for post at Sl. no. 4); Chest (expanded) — 82 cm (81 cm for post at Sl. no. 4); Weight — 49.0 kg (49.6 kg for posts at Sl. no 3 & 4 and 47.2 kg for post at Sl. no 5)

Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Medical Test and Common Entrance Examination (CEE).
