363 Jr. Stenographer, Clerk, Guard, Engineer, Technicians, etc in South Eastern Railway. Last Dt. 06/08/2012

South Eastern Railway, Kolkata, through Special Recruitment Drive for persons with Disabilities is recruiting 363 Nos. of candidates for the post of Stenographer, Clerk, Teacher, Ticket Examiner, Goods Guard, Asst. Station Master, Jr. Engineer, Technician and various other posts. Candidates residing in North Eastern States, Sikkim, J&K, Lahaul & Spiti districts and Pangi sub-division of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman, Nicobar and Lakshadweep Islands and those residing abroad, were eligible to apply. The eligibility criteria in brief is given below—

1. Junior Stenographer: 9 Nos.
Qualification: Madhyamik pass and should have done course in Stenography

2. Commercial Clerk: 65 Nos.
Qualification: Madhyamik pass candidates with 50% marks in aggregate. Only pass marks in case of SC/ST category. Candidates with qualification higher than Matriculation do not require 50% marks in Madhyamik level.

3. Junior Clerk: 92 Nos.
Qualification: Madhyamik pass with minimum 50% marks and typing proficiency of 30 wpm in English or 25 wpm in Hindi. SC/ST or candidates with qualification higher than Madhyamik do not require 50% marks.

4. Junior Accounts Clerk: 96 Nos.
Qualification: Same as above.

5. Post Graduate Teacher (Bengali Literature) in Bengali Medium: 1 Nos.
Qualification: Second Class Master degree in Bengali Literature and Degree/ Diploma in Education/Teaching OR Integrated two years post graduate course of regional college of education of NCERT

6. Trained Graduate Teacher (English Literature): 2 Nos.
Qualification: Second Class Bachelor Degree with English Literature and Degree/ Diploma in education/teaching OR four years integrated degree course of regional college of education of NCERT
N.B: The condition of second class Bachelor degree can be relaxed for those with post graduate degree in English

7. Primary School Teacher (Bengali Medium): 3 Nos.
Qualification: Higher Secondary with JBT (2 years) or it‟s equivalent or Intermediate with JBT (1 Year) or it‟s equivalent or Senior Secondary (plus 2) examination with JBT (1 Year) or it‟s equivalent.

8. Lab Supdt. Grade-III: 1 Nos.
Qualification: B.Sc with Biochemistry / Microbiology / Life Science or equivalent + Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) or equivalent or B.Sc. in Medical Technology (Laboratory) from recognized Institution.

9. Ticket Examiner: 71 Nos.
Qualification: Madhyamik pass candidates with 50% marks in aggregate. Only pass marks in case of SC/ST category. Candidates with qualification higher than Matriculation do not require 50% marks in Madhyamik level.

10. Goods Guard: 10 Nos.
Qualification: Degree in any discipline from recognised University.

11. Assistant Station Master: 3 Nos.
Qualification: Degree from recognised University.

12. Junior Engineer (Works): 1 Nos.
Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Civil Engineering (Construction Technology)/ Civil Engineering (Public Health)/ Civil Engineering (Water Resources) / Civil Engineering (Transportation)

13. Junior Engineer (Drawing): 1 Nos.
Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institution.

14. Technician—III (Fitter) 2 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation plus Course completed Act Apprenticeship / ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT in the trade of Fitter.

15. Technician—III (Fitter) C&W: 2 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation plus Course completed Act Apprenticeship / ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT in the trade of Fitter General.

16. Technician—III (Fitter) for Diesel Mechanic Wing/ Technician—III (Diesel Mechanic): 2 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation plus Course completed Act Apprenticeship / ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT in the trade of Diesel Mechanic / Mechanic Diesel.

17. Technician—III (Electric): 1 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation plus Course completed Act Apprenticeship / ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT in the trade of Electrician.

18. Technician—III (Diesel Electric): 1 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation plus Course completed Act Apprenticeship / ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT in the trade of Electronics Mechanic.

Age limits: between 18yrs to 40yrs as on 1/7/2012. (for post in Sl.No.5,6,7—between 20yrs to 55yrs. Relaxation for SC/ST—5yrs; OBC—3yrs.

Selection will be made through written examination. Written Examination will consist of multiple choice objective type questions pertaining to General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence and Reasoning and technical subjects (wherever applicable).
There will be negative marking for wrong answers. The qualified candidates will be called for documents verification. Finally candidates will have to go through medical examination for fitness test.

How to Apply: Application is to be made on prescribed format or can be prepared on plain A4 size bond paper as per format.

• The application form should enclosed with Educational Certificate/ Course/ITI certificates, as applicable, Caste, Age proof, PH certificate and etc
• 2 Nos. Self addressed envelope (26x12cms) should be enclosed. One of them should be affixed with postage stamp of Rs.5.

N.B: There is no Application fee to be paid.
