Railway Recruitment Cell – South Eastern Railway is recruiting 3136 Pointsman-B, Trackman, Helper-II and Safaiwala for various Divisions, Workshop and Offices of South Eastern Railway. The horizontal reservation for Ex-Servicemen and PWD candidates are as per norms. See the notification from the below given URL for details.
Educational Qualification: The candidates should be minimum 10th Pass OR ITI or equivalent. Candidates awaiting result or final examination are not eligible to apply.
Age Limit: Between 18yrs to 33yrs as on 01-01-2014. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.
Application Fee: Rs.100/- is to be paid in the form of Crossed Demand Draft or Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of – FA&CAO, South Eastern Railway, 11 Garden Reach Road, Kolkata—700043 and payable at – Kolkata.
NO APPLICATION FEE FOR SC/ST/ WOMEN CANDIDATES/ MINORITY COMMUNITIES, PWD, EX-SERVICEMAN AND ECONOMICALLY BACKWARD CLASSES.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection will be based on the performance of the eligible candidates in written examination, Physical Efficiency Test(PET) followed by original documents verification on the same venue and date. For PET, candidates qualified in the written examination, will be called for as per merit to a limited extent as per the guideline.
Physical Efficiency Test will be of qualifying nature only and will consist the following —
For Male candidates — Run for a distance of 1000 mtrs in 4minute and 15seconds.
For Female candidates — Run for a distance of 400 mtrs in 3minutes and 10seconds.
Date and venue of Written Examination will be intimated to the eligible candidates through Call letters in due course.
How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply only on prescribed application format. The Application form can be also prepared on plain paper by neatly typing as per the given format. (See the below PDF file for application format)
Candidates must enclose the following documents in Attested Copies, stitched firmly with the form. Only xerox, attested copies of certificates/documents should be enclosed. A Gazetted Officer should attest copies of Certificates. —
- Educational Qualification certificate, Age proof (Madhyamik certificate can be given for proof)
- Caste Certificate, if SC/ST/OBC
- PH certificate or Discharge certificate, if PH or Ex-Servicemen
- And any other relevant testimonials.

The Application form can be also dropped in the Drop-box kept in the ground floor of the above mentioned office.

“Fee Exemption (Yes/No)” etate SC candidate ki likhbe. Karon yearly income 50000 er kom thakle fee exemption hobe, abar SC candidate der fee dite hobe na. Tahole SC candidate ki likhbe ‘yes’ / ‘no’.
Same problem in “Women candidates” and “Candidates belonging to minority communities i.e. Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists and Zoroastrians’ (Parsis)”.

Yes, only Gazetted officer must attested the documents. Self-attested korle form cancel hoe jabe.
But,a newspaper advertisement clearly said self-attested copies of documents has to be send.. what to do actually? self-attested or attested copy by gazetted officer?
Hello man – Self attested or Gazetted officer attested, both are valid in case of south eastern rly. No form will be cancelled.
Only self attested copies are enough for south eastern rly. there is no need to provide certificates attested by gazetted officer.
