South Malabar Gramin Bank (SMGB), Malapuram – Kerala, is inviting Online Application form for the posts of Officers (Scale-II/ Scale-I) and Office Assistant (Multipurpose). Candidates who have appeared and qualified Common Written Examination (CWE) for RRBs conducted by IBPS in September 2012 are eligible to apply. Qualification norms and eligibility criteria in brief is given below —
1. Officer (Scale-II — Managers/General Banking Officer): 5 Nos. (Gen—2; SC—1; ST—1)
Qualification: Degree in any discipline within minimum 50% marks in aggregate and two years experience as Officer in any Bank or financial institution as on 01-06-2012.
2. Officer (Scale-I — Assistant Managers): 85 Nos. (gen—40; SC—12; ST—11; OBC—22). Out of total vacancies – 3nos. for PWD candidates.
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and proficiency in Local language, i.e. Malayalam as one of the subjects at Matriculation level.
Experience: Nil
3. Office Assistant (Multipurpose): 166 Nos. (Gen—99; SC—16; ST—3; OBC—99). Out of total vacancies—7nos. PWD and 24nos. Ex-servicemen.
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and proficiency in Local language, i.e. Malayalam as one of the subjects at Matriculation level.
Experience: Nil
Essential Requirement: Beside above mentioned qualification, candidates must have qualified Common Written Examination for RRBs conducted by IBPS in September 2012. For cut-offs and Standard qualifying scores, see the officially released Advt. (Live url is given below)
Selection of the candidates will be through Personal Interview. Candidates will be called for Interview on basis of performance in IBPS.
All eligible candidates will be issued call letters at the correspondence address given by the candidates in their application form, which will be sent by post/ courier.
Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of 2yrs in case of Officers posts and 1 year for the post of Office Assistant.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Application Fee of Rs.100/- (Rs.20 in case of SC/ST and PWD candidates) by mean of Fee payment challan through any branch of South Malabar Gramin Bank or Canara Bank.
Candidates may download the fee challans from the bank’s website.
After successful submission of the application, candidates shall take a printout of the application and keep the same intact for future purposes.
Original fee payment receipt i.e. CBS challan and the application printout will have to be submitted with the Call Letter at the time of Interview only. There is no need to send any hard copy of the application to anywhere.
