National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) is recruiting 345 candidates in the cadre of Administrative Officer Scale-I “Specialist” and “Generalist” in discipline of – Engineering, Health, Finance, Actuarial, Legal, Investigator and Generalist. Details given below—

1. Generalist: 200 Nos. (Gen-110; OBC-48; SC-27; ST-15) out of them PH—7nos.
Group-G
Qualification: Candidates should be Graduate pass, in any discipline.

2. Specialist: 145 Nos. (Gen-79; OBC-34; SC-20; ST-12) out of them PH—5nos.
No. of vacancies and qualification required according to discipline wise—
Engineering: 40 Nos. – Group A1
Qualification: Graduate degree of not less than 4 years in Automobile Engineering OR Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with PG Diploma (at least one Year duration) in Automobile Engineering.

Engineering: 10 Nos. – Group A2
Qualification: Graduate degree of not less than 4 years in Engineering in any of the following disciplines – (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, & Chemical)

Health: 30 Nos.
In Group B1—Graduate in Medical Science (MBBS)
In Group B2—Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S). Degree of not less than 5 ½ years including Internship from reputed Institutes under Central Council for Indian Medicine.
In Group B3—Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (B.H.M.S). Degree of not less than 5 ½ years including Internship from reputed Institutes under Central Council for Homeopathy, India.

Finance: 25 Nos.—Group C
Qualification: Chartered Accountant (ICAI) / M.Com / B.Com with MBA (Finance).

Actuarial: 5 Nos. – Group D
Qualification: Graduate in Statistics/ Mathematics/ Actuarial Science & Pass in at least three papers of the examination conducted by Actuarial Society of India.

Legal: 20 Nos.—Group E
Qualification: Graduate in Law

Investigator: 15 Nos. – Grpup F
Qualification: Graduate in any stream including Law with minimum one year experience in Investigational assignments with Central /State Police department / Central Bureau of Investigation/ National Investigation Agency/ other Central/State Govt. Investigation organization. (Candidates should posses aptitude for Investigational assignments & should have Investigative attributes)

N.B.— For all the groups the minimum passing marks at Graduation or Post Graduation level shall be 55% (in case of SC/ST candidates 50%)

Age limit: Candidates should be minimum 21yrs and maximum 30yrs of age as on 1/1/2012 for both posts. (Generalist/ Specialist). Age relaxation—OBC-3yrs, SC/ST-5yrs. PH-10yrs and others—as per norms.

Selection Steps: Candidates will be selected through Written Examination which will be held on 22/4/2012. The written test will be both Objective and Descriptive type. The test will be in two parts, one common test for all categories and second test will be conducted in a subject related to the respective category of specialist and Generalist group.

Common Test will be on—(I) Reasoning Ability (40marks), (II) Quantitative Aptitude (20marks), Computer Knowledge & General Awareness (20 marks) and English Language (Descriptive type- 40marks).
Second part of written test for Generalist- Group G will be on (I) General Aptitude Test (80 marks). And for rest of disciplines in Specialist, Group A to F—(I) Professional Knowledge (80 marks).
Written Examination will be held at their respective centres.

Candidates are required to deposit examination fee of Rs.400 (Rs.200 for female candidates and Rs.5- for SC/ST/PH candidates) from any branch of Indian Bank. Candidates should add additional amount of Rs.25 as bank charge.  To pay the application fees, visit any nearby branch of Indian Bank and deposit the application fee in cash in Account No. 6008050653 in favour of “National Insurance Co. Ltd”.
During application submission, candidates will require to provide scan images of self passport size photograph and scan copy of signature in jpg format. Please read the instruction carefully before submitting the form. More detailed information is available on the official website.
After submitting the application form, a system generated application form with unique registration no. will appear. Candidate should memorize this or can make print-out copy of it for future reference.
There is no need to send any documents by post. Original copy of counterfoil of the payment challan will have to be produce at the time of the Written examination.
