Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 143 Group “B” and “C” posts, viz. – Sub Inspector (Staff Nurse), Assistant Sub Inspector (OT Technician/ Dental Technician/ Radiographer), Head Constable (Steward), Constable (Waiter/ Carpenter/ Painter/ Tailor/ Cobbler/ Gardener/ Ayah). SASHASTRA SEEMA BAL (SSB) IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 143 POSTS OF GROUP “B” AND “C” POSTS, VIZ. – SUB INSPECTOR (STAFF NURSE), ASSISTANT SUB INSPECTOR (OT TECHNICIAN/ DENTAL TECHNICIAN/ RADIOGRAPHER), HEAD CONSTABLE (STEWARD), CONSTABLE (WAITER/ CARPENTER/ PAINTER/ TAILOR/ COBBLER/ GARDENER/ AYAH). LAST DATE — 22/02/2016 (08/03/2016 for far flung areas)

 

1. Sub Inspector (Staff Nurse) (Female only): 15 Nos. (Gen-6; SC-5; OBC-4)
Educational Qualification: 10+2 with Science or equivalent and Diploma in General Nursing as well as must be registered with Nursing Council plus 02 years experience in a recognized hospital.
Age Limit: 21 to 30 years as on last date of application
Pay Scale: Rs.9300/- – Rs.34800 and Grade Pay – Rs.4200/-

 

2. Assistant Sub Inspector (Pharmacist): 13 Nos. (Gen-8; SC-1; ST-3; OBC-1)
Educational Qualification: 0+2 with science or equivalent and Degree or Diploma in Pharmacy. Must be registered as Pharmacist.
Age Limit: 20 to 30 years as on last date of application
Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- – Rs.20200 and Grade pay – Rs.2800/-

 

3. Assistant Sub Inspector (Radiographer): 2 Nos. (Gen)
Educational Qualification: 10+2 with science or equivalent and Diploma in Radio diagnosis and must have one year experience
Age Limit: 20 to 30 years as on last date of application
Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- – Rs.20200 and Grade pay – Rs.2800/-

 

4. Assistant Sub Inspector (Operation Theatre Technician): 2 Nos. (Gen)
Educational Qualification: 10+2 with science or equivalent and Diploma in Operation Theatre Technician or Certificate in Operation Theatre Assistant cum Central Sterile supply Assistant and must have two years experience as an OT Technician
Age Limit: 20 to 30 years as on last date of application
Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- – Rs.20200 and Grade pay – Rs.2800/-

 

5. Assistant Sub Inspector (Dental Technician): 2 Nos. (Gen)
Educational Qualification: 10+2 with Science or equivalent and Diploma in Dental Hygienist Course as well as should have one year experience as Dental Technician.
Age Limit: 20 to 30 years as on last date of application
Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- – Rs.20200 and Grade pay – Rs.2800/-

 

6. Head Constable (Steward): 2 Nos. (Gen)
Educational Qualification: Matriculation pass and Diploma or Certificate in Catering Kitchen management plus one year experience in similar job
Age Limit: 18 to 25 years as on last date of application
Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- – Rs.20200 and Grade pay – Rs.2400/-

 

7. Constable (Ayah) (Female): 4 Nos. (Gen-1; SC-1; OBC-2)
Educational Qualification: Matriculation with Science and Certificate in First Aid Examination from Red Cross Society or should be trained Dai. Should have one year experience in the field.
Age Limit: 18 to 25 years as on last date of application
Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- – Rs.20200 and Grade pay – Rs.2000/-

 

8. Constable
— Waiter: 26 Nos. (Gen-16; SC-4; ST-1; OBC-5)
— Carpenter: 02 Nos. (ST)
— Painter: 17 Nos. (Gen-12; SC-1; ST-1; OBC-3)
— Tailor: 20 Nos. (Gen-7; SC-3; ST-4; OBC-6)
— Cobbler: 29 Nos. (Gen-15; SC-2; ST-8; OBC-4)
— Gardener: 06 Nos. (Gen-2; SC-1; ST-1; OBC-2)
Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent AND 02 years Diploma from ITI in the trade or simlar trade OR 01 year certificate course from ITI or Vocational Institute with one year experience in the trade OR 02 years working experience in the respective trades.
Age Limit: 18 to 23 years as on last date of application
Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- – Rs.20200 and Grade pay – Rs.2000/-

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test, Written Examination/ Assessment, Trade Test (for Constable posts only) and finally Medical Test.

 

Physical Standards (Height and Chest):
For Sub Inspector, Asstt. Sub Inspector, Head Constable and Constable (Ayah):
(i) Male: Height – 170 cms (162.5cms for ST and 165cms for NE States and Hill area communities); Chest (unexpanded/expanded)- Minimum 80cms/85 cms (76cms/ 82cms for ST and 78cms/ 83cms for NE and Hill areas)
(ii) Female: Height – 157 cms (150cms for ST and 155cms for NE States and Hill area communities); Chest (unexpanded/expanded)- Not applicable.

For Constable (for rest of all trades):
(i) Male: Height – 167.5 cms (162.5cms for ST and 165cms for NE States and Hill area communities); Chest (unexpanded/expanded)- Minimum 78cms/84 cms (76cms/ 82cms for ST and 78cms/ 83cms for NE and Hill areas)
(ii) Female: Height – 157 cms (150cms for ST and 155cms for NE States and Hill area communities); Chest (unexpanded/expanded)- Not applicable.

Weight (Male/ Female): Corresponding to age and height.

 

The candidates must not have knock-knee, flat foot, varicose veins, squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision. Must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of their duties.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.50/- as Application Fee. Fee can be paid through IPO/ Demand Draft/ Banker Cheque drawn in favour of PAO, SSB, MHA, New Delhi, payable at State Bank of India, RK Puram, New Delhi (Branch Code – 01076).

NO APPLICATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC/ST, EX-SERVICEMAN AND ALL FEMALE CANDIDATES.
