SASHASTRA SEEMA BAL  (SSB) IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 375 POSTS OF CONSTABLE (GD) AGAINST SPORTS QUOTA. LAST DATE — 02/05/2016
1. Constable (GD): 375 Nos.
Educational Qualification:Â Matriculation or its equivalent.
Name of the Sports/ Games were vacancies are available — Football, Athletics, Volley ball, Basketball, Handball, Kabaddi, Aquatics, Cross-Country, Wrestling, Boxing, Weight-lifting, Gymnastics, Judo, Hockey, Fencing, Water Sports, Wushu, Taekwondo, Archery, Sepaktakraw, Shooting (Sports).
Sport Eligibility:
Candidates who have represented a state or the country in a national or International competition OR represented the University in the Inter University Tournaments in above mention Sports / Games. OR who have represented the state school teams in the National Sports / Games OR the candidates who have been awarded national award in Physical Efficiency Drive.
Physical Standards:
Height: (i) Male — 170 cms (162.5cms for ST), (ii) Female — 157cms (150cms for ST)
Chest: (i) Male — 80cms/ 85cms (expanded/ unexpanded) (76cms/81cms for ST), (ii) Female — Not applicable
Weight: Proportionate/Corresponding to height and age as per medical standards (For males and females).
N.B: Cut-off in Height, Chest, etc for Hill areas/NE States is as per Govt. norms. See PDF below.
Age Limit:Â 18 years to 23 years
Pay Scale:Â Rs.5200/- Rs.20200/- and Grade Pay Rs.2000/-
Upper Age Relaxation:Â Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Field Trial / Skill Test and Physical Standard Test.
Exact Date, Time and Venue for examination/interview will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course as well as such information will be also available in the official website of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.50/- as Application Fee. Fee can be paid through IPO/ Demand Draft / Banker Cheque drawn in favour of Accounts Officer, FHQ, SSB, New Delhi, write payable at New Delhi, if IPO or in case of DD/Banker’s cheque write payable at – State Bank of India, R.K. Puram, New Delhi, Branch Code-01076.
