Sashastra Seema Bal is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 2068 posts of Constable (Driver, Cook, Washerman, Barber, Safaiwala, Water Carrier). 1. Constable (Driver) male: 731 Nos. (UR-232, OBC-78, SC-328, ST-93)
Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent
Candidates must possess valid Heavy Vehicle Driving license.
Age Limit: Minimum-21 years and maximum-27 years as on Last date of application form
Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- Rs.20200/- and Grade Pay Rs.2000/-

 

2. Constable (Cook) male: 349 Nos. (UR-180, OBC-93, SC-51, ST-25)
Educational Qualification: i) Matriculation or equivalent.
(a) Two years Diploma in the trade or similar trade
(b) One year certificate course or Vocational Institute with at least one year experience in the trade; or
(c) Two years work experience in respective trade

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination, Trade Test and physical standard Test.

 

Physical Standard

For the Post of Driver:
(i) Height- 170 cms (162.5 cms in case of ST candidates); (ii) Chest: un expansion – 80cms and expansion- 85 cms (76cms and expansion – 81cms for ST Candidates).

For rest of all other Post:
Male candidates: (i) Height-167.5cm (162.5cms for Male), Chest- (unexpanded/expanded)-78cms/ 83cms (76/81cms for ST)
Female Candidates: (i) Height- 157cms (150cms for ST); (ii) Chest- Not applicable.

N.B: Cut-off in height and chest is applicable for Hilly areas and N.E region’s candidates (See PDF file given below for such details).

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.50/- as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through IPO/Demand Draft/Banker Cheque. See PDF file given below for addresses where the IPO/DD should be made.

NO EXAMINATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC, ST, EX-SERVICEMEN & FEMALE CANDIDATES.
