Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) Recruitment Rally for Constable (GD) for candidates from Border Districts of Assam, Bihar & Sikkim. Starts from 23/05/2013

Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), under Ministry of Home Affairs, is going to hold Recruitment Rally for Male Candidates in the rank of “Constable (General Duty/ GD)” in different States (i.e., Assam, Bihar and Sikkim). The Recruitment Rally will not only select candidates for SSB but also for BSF and ITBP. Only the candidates belonging from the Border District of the concerned States are eligible to apply. Qualification norms and eligibility criteria in brief is given below —

CONSTABLE (GENERAL DUTY)
Eligible for Male candidates only.

Only male candidates belonging from the border district (mentioned below) of Assam, Bihar and Sikkim may apply. The recruitment rally will not only select candidates for Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) but also for Border Security Force (BSF), Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) and Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP)

The number of vacancies State wise and eligible districts of the concerned States were as follows —

State: ASSAM
Eligible Border Districts: Baksa, Chirang, Kokrajhar and Udalguri Border District of Assam state for vacancies in SSB AND Dhubri, Cachar and Karimganj district of Assam State for vacancies in BSF. The candidates may apply accordingly.

State: BIHAR
Eligible Border Districts: West Champaran, East Champaran, Madhubani, Sitamarhi, Araria, Supaul and Kishanganj of Bihar state

For Central Armed Police Force (CAPF): 528 Nos. (SC—198; ST—45; OBC—285)

State: SIKKIM
Eligible Border Districts: East District, West District, and North District Border District of Sikkim state for vacancies in SSB AND Mangam and North Sikkim Border Districts of Sikkim State for vacancies in ITBP. The candidates may apply accordingly.

For Indo-Tibetan Border Police): 30 Nos. (Gen—15; SC—2; ST—6; OBC—7)

Educational Qualification: Matriculation/ Class 10 pass or equivalent.

Age Limits: between 18yrs to 23yrs as on 01.01.2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST—5yrs; OBC—3yrs.

Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade pay: Rs.2000/- per month plus Other Allowances as per norms.

Physical Standards of the candidates—

(1). For Assam State: Height—162.56cms (160.02cms for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)—78/83cms (76/81cms for ST candidates); Weight—Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.

(2). For Bihar State: Height—165cms (162cms for ST/ SC candidates); Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)—80/85cms (76/81cms for ST candidates and 79/84cms for SC candidates); Weight—Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.

(3). For Sikkim State: Height—160 cms (for Gen/SC/ST & OBC); Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)—77/82cms (for all candidates); Weight—Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.

Candidates must be physically and mentally fit without any bodily deformities. Refer the Advt. for details.

Selection of the candidates will be through Height/ Weight Measurement, Physical Efficiency Test, Written Examination and Medical Examination. Refer the Advt. for syllabus for selection steps (live url of the Advertisement for respective states is given below)

How to Apply: Eligible candidates may appear in the recruitment rally with duly filled Application form (as per format) along with testimonials and documents in original and attested copies.

Place/Venue of Recruitment Rally:- The recruitment will be rally based and the candidate will appear district wise for the recruitment at the place/venue of recruitment as per scheduled (details in below given advt. link) at 0700 hrs for their registration and documentation
