Eligibility Criteria for SSC CGL 2023
Academic Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
- The candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply, however, they must possess essential qualifications on or before 01-01-2021.
Age Limit
- 18 – 32 years as of 01//01/2023.
Pay Scale
- Rs.25500 — Rs.151100 Post wise
Upper Age Relaxation
- The upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST
- 03 years for OBC
- 10 years for the PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Posts like Inspector (Central Excise/ Examiner/ Preventive Officer), Inspector and Sub-Inspector in CBN, Sub-Inspector in CBI and NIA, etc which have specific requirements of Physical Standards, Physical Tests, and Medical Standards. Candidates must check the prescribed physical standard before applying for such posts.

Application Fee:
- Candidates must pay an Application Fee of Rs.100/-. Fee can be paid through Online mode during the submission of the online application form by using a Debit/Credit card Net banking or any other option available.

Fee Exemption: Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fees.
How to Apply for SSC CGL Recruitment 2023
- Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) — https://ssc.nic.in (See the Application form’s link given below).
Upon successful payment of the prescribed fee and submission of the online application form, the system-generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print out it out for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION (SSC) AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
