Staff Selection Communication (SSC), Eastern Region (Kolkata) is recruiting 11 Senior Technical Assistant, Quarantine Inspector, Senior Store Assistant and Junior Geographical Assistant. 1. SENIOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANT
Number of Vacancies: 1 Nos. (SC)
Qualification: Degree in Agriculture followed by Post Graduate degree in Agronomy/ plant breeding/ genetics.
Age: maximum 30yrs.
Pay Scale: Rs.9300—34800 and Grade Pay: Rs.4200/-

2. QUARANTINE INSPECTOR
Number of Vacancies: 2 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Bachelor’s of Science with Zoology or Microbiology as one of the essential subject. AND two years experience in the field.
Age: maximum 30 years.
Pay Scale: Rs.9300—34800 and Grade Pay: Rs.4200/-

3. SENIOR STORE ASSISTANT
Number of Vacancies: 1 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Degree in any discipline with 03 years experience of Store Keeping including keeping of records and etc.
Age: Maximum 27 years.
Pay Scale: Rs.9300—34800 and Grade Pay: Rs.4200/-

4. JUNIOR GEOGRAPHICAL ASSISTANT
Number of Vacancies: 7 Nos. (Gen—1; SC—2; ST—1; OBC—3)
Qualification: Honours Degree in Geography/ Mathematics/ Statistics
Age: 25 years.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2800/-

Age Relaxation: The age of the applicants (mentioned above) will be counted as on last date of receipt of application, i.e. 01-09-2014.
Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.

EXAMINATION FEE:
Rs.50/- is to be paid by means of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)” only. These stamps are available at the counter of all Post Offices of the country. These Recruitment Fee Stamps may be pasted on the application form in the space earmarked for the purpose. These Recruitment Stamps must be got cancelled from the Counter Clerks of any Post Office of issue with the date stamp of the Issuing Office.
NO FEE FOR SC/ST, PH, EX-SERVICEMAN AND WOMEN APPLICANTS.
