SSC GD Constable — 26,146 Vacancies

SSC Constable GD Recruitment Educational Qualification:

The candidates must have passed Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/ University.

Age Limit (For all above posts/discipline): 18 – 23 years.

The upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for the OBC category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

SSC GD Constable 2023 Recruitment Candidates’ Selection: 

The recruitment process will consist of Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), Medical Examination, and Document Verification.

The Staff Selection Commission will conduct an open competitive examination for recruitment to the posts of Constable (General Duty) in
Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Secretariat Security Force (SSF) and Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles. The examination will be conducted at various centers across the country.

SSC GD Constable 2023 Recruitment Application Fee: 

Candidates must pay an Application Fee of Rs.100/-. Fee can be paid Online mode during the submission of the online application form by using Debit/Credit card Net banking or any other option available. See the officially released advertisement for more details.

NO APPLICATION FEE IS REQUIRED IN THE CASE OF SC/ST, EX-SERVICEMAN, AND WOMEN CANDIDATES.

Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) — https://ssc.nic.in (See Application form’s link given below) from 24-11-2023 to 31-12-2023.

Upon successful payment of the prescribed fee and submission of the online application form, the system-generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Syllabus of SSC GD Constable 2023

The syllabus for the Examination SSC Constable (GD) will be as follows:

General Intelligence and Reasoning:

Analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns will be tested through questions principally of non-verbal type. This component may include questions on analogies, similarities, and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding, decoding, etc.

General Knowledge and General Awareness:

Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated
person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries, especially about sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, scientific Research, etc. These Questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.

Elementary Mathematics:

This paper will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals, and Fractions, and relationship
between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.

English/ Hindi:

The candidate’s ability to understand basic English/ Hindi and his basic comprehension would be tested.

CAPF Constable GD Recruitment 2023 Scheme of Examination:

Computer Based Examination (CBE):

• Objective paper with 80 questions, 2 marks each.
• Parts: General Intelligence, General Knowledge, Elementary Mathematics, English/Hindi.
• Duration: 60 minutes.
• Negative marking: 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST):

• Based on CBE performance.
• Centers finalized by CAPFs.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

• Race for males: 5 Km in 24 minutes.
• Race for females: 1.6 Km in 8 ½ minutes (except Ladakh Region), 1.6 Km in 6 ½ minutes (Ladakh Region), 800 meters in 4 minutes.

Physical Standard Test (PST):

• Height: Male – 170 cms, Female – 157 cms. Relaxations for specific categories.
• Chest: Male – Un-expanded: 80 cms, Minimum expansion: 5 cms. Relaxations for specific categories.
• Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
• Scrutiny of eligibility after PET (race) and before PST by CAPFs PET/PST Boards.

Medical Examination:

• Candidates shortlisted for Detailed Medical Examination (DME) from PET/PST pool.
