Staff Selection Commission, North Eastern Region (SSC NER) is inviting application from the eligible candidates for one post of “Library Clerk” in North Eastern Council Secretariat, Shillong, Meghalaya. Number of Vacancies: 01 post (UR)
Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent with a Certificate Course in Library Science(One year’s course after matriculation) with three years experience in a Library/Documentation Centre.
Age Limit: 18—27yrs.
No age relaxation would be available for SC/ST/OBC candidates applying for UR posts/vacancies. The upper Age-limit will be relaxable upto a maximum of 5 years to candidates of Jammu and Kashmir who have ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from 1.1.1980 to 31.12.1989
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 with Grade Pay: Rs.1900/-
Selection of the candidates will be on the basis of their educational qualifications, academic records, percentage of marks, etc., or through a screening test. If the number of applicants applying for the vacancies is large then commission may decide to conduct a Written Test. See advt. below for details.
The selected candidates will be on probation for 02 years. Initial posting will be at NEC Secretariat, Shillong, Meghalaya.
How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format (See PDF below) along with self attested copies of testimonials such as – Qualification certificates and Mark sheet, Experience certificate, Age proof, Caste certificates and any other relevant certificates.
Candidates must also enclose 02 Self-Addressed envelopes (12×25 cms), one of which should be affixed with postage stamps of Rs.6/–
Application Fee: Central Recruitment Fee Stamps of Rs.50/- should be affixed and clearly cancelled on the application form. These stamps are available at the counter of all Post Offices of the country. These Recruitment Fee Stamps may be pasted on the application form in the space earmarked for the purpose. These Recruitment Stamps must be got cancelled from the Counter Clerks of any Post Office of issue with the date stamp of the Issuing Office.
Last Date and Address: The duly filled Application form along with enclosures should reach on or before 15/12/2014 Extended to 22/12/2014 (5PM) at the following address — “The Regional Director, Staff Selection Commission(NER), Housefed Complex, West End Building, Beltola Basistha Road, Dispur, Guwahati-781006”.
The envelope containing the application must be superscribed in bold letters as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF______ ADVERTISED VIDE CATEGORY NO_____ OF ADVT. NO. /NER-_____”.
