Staff Selection Commission (SSC) – Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination – 2014. SSC will hold an All India Open Competitive Examination for recruitment to the Group-“C” posts of Data Entry Operator and Lower Division Clerk. Both Male and Female candidates may apply. Interested and eligible candidates may apply ONLINE or OFFLINE on prescribed application format (See PDF below). Qualification norms and details in brief are given below —

Name of the Post and Number of vacancies:

1. Data Entry Operator — 1006 Nos.
2. Lower Division Clerk — 991Nos.

Reservation of posts for SC/ST/OBC, PH and Etc candidates is as per Govt. norms.

Educational Qualification: Minimum Class 12 pass or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

Age Limit (for both posts): Minimum 18yrs and maximum 27 years as on 01-08-2014, i.e. Candidates born not before 02-08-1987 and not later than 01-08-1996.
Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.
Staff Selection Commission will hold an All India Open Competitive Examination for recruitment to the posts, on dated 02nd November, 2014 and on 09th November, 2014.

The exam will comprise of a written objective type Examination followed by Data Entry Skill Test/Typing Test.
Typing test will be only for the post of Lower Division Clerk and will be conducted on Computer. Candidates opting for English medium should have typing speed of 35 words per minute and those opting for Hindi medium should have typing speed of 30 words per minute.

The selected candidates will be posted in various Central Government Ministries / Departments / Offices.
The Examination will be conducted at various centres of SSC across the Country. Candidates from WEST BENGAL may opt for any one of the following centres (Centre code is given in bracket) — Kolkata(4410), Midnapur(4413), Port Blair (4802), Sambalpur(4609), Gangtok(4001), Jalpaiguri (4408), Bhubaneshwar(4604), Cuttack (4605), Ranchi(4205), Chinsurah ( 4405 ), Siliguri (4415), Berhampore(4403), Malda(4412) Keonjhargarh (4606). Application Fee: Rs.100/- is to be paid by General and OBC candidates.
Online Mode — Fee can be paid by means of Debit/ Credit card or Net banking or by means of fee payment challan, if candidates submit their application through Online mode.
Offline Mode — Candidates applying Offline, i.e. on hard copy of Application shall pay the Fee by means of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)” only. These stamps are available at the counter of all Post Offices of the country. These Recruitment Fee Stamps may be pasted on the application form in the space earmarked for the purpose. These Recruitment Stamps must be got cancelled from the Counter Clerks of any Post Office of issue with the date stamp of the Issuing Office.
NO APPLICATION FEE FOR SC/ ST, PH, EX-SERVICEMAN AND ALL WOMEN CANDIDATES.

How to Apply: Apply Online or Offline. Online mode is encouraged since it is fast and have many advantage over offline mode.
Online Mode: Candidates willing to apply Online shall visit the official website of SSC (See live URL to Application form given below). Follow the instruction carefully outlined in the Advt. (See PDF) and submit the form. Upon successful payment of fee and submission of online Application form, the system generated Registration Slip will appear on the computer screen. Print-out the Registration Slip and retain safely. DO NOT SEND IT OR ANY OTHER DOCUMENTS TO SSC.

Offline Mode: Candidates willing to apply through Offline Mode, i.e. on hard copy of paper application, shall download the prescribed application format from the website of SSC. (Application given below in PDF). The duly filled Application form shall be address to respective centre of SSC, basis of State/ UT.

Address to send your Application: Candidates applying Online do not need to send any hard copy application or any print-out to the Commission. Such candidates shall retain their system generated Registration Slip safely for later use.
In case candidates applying Offline, i.e. on hard copy of application, shall send their Application to their respective Examination Centre as per their State/ UT. See the PDF file given below for references.

Last Date: The duly filled Application form along with enclosures shall reach on or before 19/08/2014 (upto 5 PM). The last date of receipt of application is 26.08.2014 for candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu & Kashmir State, Lahaul-Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.
