Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Western Region, is inviting application for the various posts in Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’. Advertisement No. WR/1/2014. Interested and eligible candidates may apply only on prescribed application format (See URL below). Last date of application is 14.08.2014 (21/08/2014 for far flung ares). Educational norms and other details in brief are outlined below —

1. Assistant Epigraphist (Arabic and Persian Inscriptions): 3 Nos.
Qualification: Master’s degree in Persian or Arabic with Medieval Indian History as a subjects at the Bachelor’s degree level OR Master’s degree in History with Medieval Indian History as a subjects and Arabic or Persian as one of the subjects at the Bachelor degree level.
Age: 18—30yrs.

2. Dietician Grade-III: 15 Nos.
Qualification: Post Graduate degree in Food Nutrition or Dietetics and Food Service management OR Degree in Home Science alongwith Diploma in Dietetics AND 02yrs experience as a Dietician, in both cases.
Age: 18—30yrs.

3. Bosun: 5 Nos.
Qualification: Class 12 pass and shall possess Certificate of Competency as Mate Fishing Vessel issued by Mercantile Marine Department.
Age: 18—30yrs.

4. Sr. Scientific Assistant: 8 Nos.
Qualification: Master degree in Marine Biology or Zoology or Oceanography or Fishery Science or Fisheries Management or Industrial Fisheries or Aquatic Biology in Fisheries OR Post Graduate Diploma in Fishery Science of the Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Mumbai
Age: 18—30yrs.

5. Clerk: 1 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent and one year experience in Govt. Department/ Undertaking.
Age: 18—27yrs.

6. Assistant Manager cum Storekeeper: 1 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent with one year Diploma in Book-Keeping or Store Keeping and 03 years experience.
Age: 18—27yrs.

7. Photographer Grade-III: 1 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent and Knowledge of practical experience of photography and
photomicrography, developing, printing, enlarging, copying and preparation of lantern slides. AND 2yrs experience as zoological objects photographer.
Age: 18—25yrs.

8. Junior Cartographic Assistant: 1 Nos.
Qualification: Master’s degree in Geography
Age: 18—27yrs.

9. Jr. Technical Assistant: 21 Nos.
Qualification: Degree in Commerce or Economics or degree in Law
Age: 18—30yrs.

10. Accountant: 1 Nos.
Qualification: A degree with Commerce or Accounts.
Age: 18—30yrs.

11. Scientific Assistant: 1 Nos.
Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Chemistry as a main Subject OR Diploma in Chemical Engineering/ Chemical Technology AND 2yrs experience in Quality Assurance of Explosives orChemicals.
Age: 18—30yrs.

12. Store Superintendent: 1 Nos.
Qualification: Diploma in Material Management or any Diploma having Material Management as a subject or Diploma in Pharmacy.
Age: 18—27yrs.

13. Sr. Library and Information Assistant: 1 Nos.
Qualification: Degree/ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Diploma in Library Science OR equivalent diploma in Library Science. AND Professional experience in a Library of standing OR Certificate in Computer Applications.
Age: 18—30yrs.

14. Draughtsman Grade-I: 34 Nos.
Qualification: 10+2/ Higher Secondary pass and 03 years Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering.
Age: 18-30yrs.

15. Library and Information Assistant: 4 Nos.
Qualification: Bachelors Degree in any discipline and/or Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science.
Age: 18—28yrs (18—30yrs if have 02 years experience in the field).

16. Naval Armament Depot: 13 Nos.
Qualification: Bachelor of Science degree with Physics or Chemistry or Mathematics OR Diploma in Engineering in the appropriate discipline viz Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
Age: 18—25yrs.

17. Quarantine Inspector: 3 Nos.
Qualification: Bachelor of Science with Zoology or Microbiology as one the essential subjects AND 02 years experience of conducting research or experiments or measurement in a veterinary laboratory.
Age: 18—30yrs.

18. Deputy Ranger: 3 Nos.
Qualification: Class 12 pass or its equivalent or trained Forester or trained Forest Guard AND 02 years experience in Forest survey /Working plan. Organization / Forest Resources Survey work.
Age: 18—28yrs.

19. Senior Radio Technician: 1 Nos.
Qualification: Degree in Electronics or Electrical, Communication Engineering OR Diploma in Electronics/Electrical, Communication or Radio Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent. AND 03 years experience in installation/maintenance of Electrical/ Wireless equipment such as Wireless Transmitters, Receivers and Aerial Systems.
Age: 18—30yrs.

Note: Upper age relaxation for the reserved categories is as per Govt. norms. Age will be counted as on last date of receipt of application, i.e. 14/08/2014.

Screening Test/ Written test for selection of candidates will be hold in due course. Eligible candidates will be intimated through call letters (see PDF below for more details).

Examination Fee: Interested candidates willing to apply for the above said vacancies shall pay Examination fee of Rs.50/- only.
Fee is to be paid by means of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)” only. These stamps are available at the counter of all Post Offices of the country. These Recruitment Fee Stamps may be pasted on the application form in the space earmarked for the purpose. These Recruitment Stamps must be got cancelled from the Counter Clerks of any Post Office of issue with the date stamp of the Issuing Office.
