Central Government’s, under ministry of home, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) is recruiting 216 boys and girls for the post of—Constable (nursing orderly), Sub Inspector (staff nurse), Constable (lab assistant), constable (Aya) and Constable (Mosalchi).
1. Constable (Nursing orderly): Post Code-08
Vacancies: 120 (Gen-62, OBC-32, SC-17, ST-9)
Matriculation pass with science may apply for the post. Knowledge in First Aid and Dressing is desirable.
Age should be between 18 to 25 yrs and pay scale—Rs. 5200 to Rs.20200 and Grade pay Rs.2000
2. Constable (Lab Assistant): Post Code-07
Vacancies: 36 (Gen-20, OBC-9, SC-5, ST-2)
Matriculation pass with science and should have certificate for Laboratory Assistant’s Course.
Age and pay scale is same as above.
3. Constable (Aya): Post Code-09
Vacancies: 9 (Gen-6, OBC-2, ST-1)
Matriculation pass girls with science and First Aid training from Red Cross Society or equivalent Aya’s training may apply. Should have work experience of one year in respective field.
Age and payscale is same as above.
4. Constable (Mosalchi): post Code-10
Vacancies: 6 (Gen-5, OBC-1)
Matriculation pass candidates with 2 years experience in hotel or restaurant may apply. Age limit and pay scale is same as above.
5. Sub-Inspector (Staff Nurse): Post Code-01
Vacancies: 45 (Gen-24, OBC-12, SC-6, ST-3)
Girls with Higher Secondary in Science stream and should have should have done 3 years general nursing diploma course may apply. Her name should be enrolled in State or Central Nursing Council and may have 2 yrs working experience in any hospital.
Age should be between 21- 30 yrs. Pay scale will be Rs.9300 to Rs.34800 and Grade pay- Rs.4200
For all the above given posts, age should be counted from as on dated—20-07-2011. As an age relaxation, SC/ST candidates will receive 5 yrs, OBC-3yrs, government employee-5yrs, ex-serviceman- as per norms.
Candidates should be physically fit and without any defects.
Height and weight measurement —height-170 cm (157 cm in case of girls), Chest (expanded/unexpanded)- 85cm/80cm. Body weight should be corresponding to height and age.
For selection of candidates, first there will be height and weight measurement and then physical ability test. If selected, then there will be Written Test.
For the post of Sub-Inspector (Staff Nurse) there will be written test of 100 marks and 100 marks on Technical topics . for rest of constable posts, there will be written test of 100 marks only.
Candidates may prepare application form on ordinary paper as per given format.

Along with application send the following documents in attested copies—
- Educational and work-experience/course certificate and other certificate as per requirement for the post
- Caste certificate (for SC/ST and OBC)
- Sports or NCC certificates, if any
- 2 self-addressed envelopes with Rs.6 postal stamp on each.
- 2 recent color pass port size photo (one pasted on application form and other on Admit card)
- Permanent Residential Certificate
- Postal order or Bank Draft of Rs.50. For the post of Sub-Inspector (Staff Nurse), draft should be made in favour of: “D.I.G. (Medical), Composite hospital, SSB Gorakhpur. And payable “SBI Fertilizer Township Code-1873. And if Postal order, then it should be in favour of: “D.I.G. (medical), Composite hospital SSB Gorakhpur (U.P.)
- For rest of Constable Posts, draft should be infavour of: “D.I.G. (medical), Composite hospital SSB Tezpur” and payable at- “SBI Tezpur code-0195” In case of postal order, it should be: “D.I.G. (medical), Composite hospital SSB Tezpur (Assam)”.
On the top of Applcation envelope, write—“Application for the post of…………., Post Code No………….”
Application should be send through Ordinary Post only
