Government Medical College & Hospital (GMCH) And Govt. Multi Speciality Hospital (GMSH), under Chandigarh Administration, for GMCH Sector-32 & GMSH Sector-16, is recruiting 254 boys and girls for the post of “Staff Nurse”. Advt. No. : GMCH/Estt.-III/EA4/2012. Eligible candidates may submit the application form through Online system from the official website of GMCH within the prescribed date. The candidates who have applied earlier in response to advertisement appeared on various Employment Gazettes on 30/4/2011, shall have to apply afresh. Details and eligibility criteria is given below—
Sl.No.1 – GMCH-32, STAFF NURSE: 223 Nos. (Gen-223; SC-53; OBC-82). Out of which PH-21nos & Ex-Serviceman—70nos.
Sl.No.2 – GMSH-16, STAFF NURSE: 31 Nos. (Gen-31; SC-08; OBC-12)
The Recruitment and Eligibility criteria for GMCH-32 & GMSH-16 : —
Qualification: Candidates must have Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery course OR B.Sc Nursing or equivalent from a recognised University/ Institute.
Candidates must have Registered as Nurse and Midwife with State Nursing Council.
Pay Scale: Rs.10300—Rs.34800 and Grade pay—Rs.4600
Age limit: between 18yrs to 25yrs as on 1/1/2012. Age relaxation for OBC- 3yrs; SC- 5yrs; PH-10yrs and Ex-Serviceman—as per norms.
Selection Steps: Candidates will be selected through Written Examination which will be of 70 marks. 20 marks will be given for Professional Qualification. Qualified candidates will be then called for Interview of 10 Marks.
How to Apply: Candidates should apply online only from the official website of Government Medical College & Hospital (GMCH) — http://www.gmch.gov.in. Visit the website and click the link named “Jobs & Training” available on the top menu bar.
Fill the online application form and click the ‘submit’ button. After doing so, a system generated Application form along with Registration No./ Application ID will appear on the screen. Candidates must print-out this application on plain A4 size paper. This print-out copy of Application form should be retain by candidates for future references.
There is no need to send any application or documents by post to the address of GMCH.
Application Fee: Before Applying Online, candidates should deposit the Application Fee of Rs.500 (Rs.250 for SC candidates) in the “Power Jyoti” Account of GMCH in any branch of State Bank of India with the fee payment challan duly filled in. Fee payment challan can be print-out from the above said official website of GMCH.
N.B: The candidates, who have earlier applied for the post of Staff Nurse in response to advertisement, appeared in The Tribune, Ajit, Punjab Kesari & Employment News on 30.04.2011 shall have to apply afresh, as no candidates of said advertisement will be considered against this advertisement.
