Educational Qualification: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent.
The candidate must be able to speak, read and write Bengali Language ( not applicable to persons who are permanent residents of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts).
Age Limit: Minimum 20 years and maximum 39 years as on 01/01/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.7100 — Rs.37600
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category of West Bengal only. Others, if any — As per Govt. norms. Reserved Category candidates from the states other than West Bengal will be treated as General Category candidates.

Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 167 cm (160 cm for Gorkhas, Rajbanshis, Garwalis and ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded) — 78 cm (76 cm for Gorkhas, Rajbanshis, Garwalis and ST); Chest (expanded) — 83 cm (81 cm for Gorkhas, Rajbanshis, Garwalis and ST); Weight — Proportionate to height & age as per Medical Standard.
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 160 cm (152 cm for Gorkhas, Rajbanshis, Garwalis and ST candidates); Weight — Proportionate to height & age as per Medical Standard.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Preliminary Examination, Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Final Competitive Examination and Personality Test. The Preliminary Examination will be of 200 marks. The duration of examination is 90 minutes. The Physical Measurement Test (PMT) will include measurement of height, weight and chest of the candidates qualified in the preliminary examination. It will be followed by the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) of the eligible candidates. The Final Competitive Examination will be 350 marks. Only qualified candidates of both PMT and PET will be eligible to appear in the Final Competitive Examination. A limited number of the candidates selected merit-wise on the results of Final Competitive Examination will be called to appear for the Personality Test (Full Marks – 50).

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen.
