State Level Eligibility Test Commission Assam (SLET Assam) invites online application for State Eligibility Test (SET) 2020- 2021. Candidates who qualify in the State Eligibility Test (SET) are eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Professor within the jurisdiction of the Member-States of the State Level Eligibility Test Commission namely Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Meghalaya, Sikkim and Tripura. STATE LEVEL ELIGIBILITY TEST COMMISSION ASSAM (SLET ASSAM) INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR STATE ELIGIBILITY TEST (SET) 2020- 2021. LAST DATE — 14/12/2020
STATE ELIGIBILITY TEST (SET) 2020- 2021
The test will be held in the subjects mentioned below:
Assamese, English, Economics, Education, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Geography, Manipuri, Bodo, Bengali, Hindi, Anthropology, Sanskrit, Sociology, Arabic, Persian, Law Commerce, Chemical Science, Life Science, Mathematical Science, Physical Science, Computer Science and Environmental Science.
Educational Qualification: i) Candidate who have secured atleast 55% marks (without rounding off) (atleast 50% marks (without rounding off)) in Master Degree or equivalent examination from recognised Universities/ Institutions.
ii) Candidates who have appeared or will be appearing at the final qualifying Master degree (final year) examination and result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examination have been delayed may also apply for this Test.
iii) The Ph.D degree holders whose Masters level examination had been completed by 19th September 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result) will be eligible for relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks. (i.e from 55% to 50% for appearing in SET).
There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for Assistant Professors.

Candidates’ Selection: The State Eligibility Test (SET) will consists of two papers i.e. Paper- I and Paper- II. The test will be held on 14/02/2021 in two separate sessions. The test will be will be conducted in the following centres:- Gauhati University, Dibrugarh University, Tezpur University, Assam University, Manipur University, Rajiv Gandhi Central University, Itanagar, Tripura University, Sikkim Govt. College and Mizoram University.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Examination Fee of Rs. 1200/- for General, Rs. 1050/- for OBC (NCL), Rs. 1000/- for SC/ ST and Rs. 800/- for PWD candidates. Fee can be paid through Bank only by means of Fee Payment Challan. Fee Challan can be downloaded from the official website of State Level Eligibility Test Commission Assam (SLET Assam). Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO STATE LEVEL ELIGIBILITY TEST COMMISSION ASSAM (SLET ASSAM) AT THIS STAGE.
