Central Govt—for various offices in Central Governments; recruitment of few hundreds boys and girls for the post of “Stenographer Grade-C” and “Stenographer Grade-D” is going on. Job will be in Group-X and Group-Y categories. Job posting will be in Delhi for Group-X category, where Group-Y categories will be in any place of India.

Higher Secondary pass boys/girls of any stream may apply for the post.
For the post of Stenographer Group-D, the candidates should have ability to type 50 words per minute in computer and 80 words in English shorthand. And for the post of Stenographer in Group-C, typewriting should be 40 words and English shorthand should be 100 words per minute.

Age should be between 18yrs to 27yrs as on 1-8-2011. Age relaxation were as follows—OBC-3yrs; SC/ST-5yrs; PH-10yrs; Widow or legally divorced women-8yrs; Central govt. workers and Ex-Serviceman- as per norms and rule.

Selection of candidates will be done by Staff Selection Commission (SSC). First Written Test and then Skill Test on computer and shorthand, Written Test may hold on 16th October.
Questions will be Objective Multiple choice types from the following topics—(I) General Intelligence and Reasoning, (II) General Awareness and (III) English Language and Comprehension.
If selected then there will be skill test on computer typing and shorthand.

How to Apply: Application can be done either Online or Offline.
For offline, candidates can prepare the application as per format on full scope paper by neatly typing and then filling it with own handwriting in bold letters with ball point pen.
Candidates should affix Central Recruitment Fee stamp of Rs.100 and then make cancellation from the post office’s clerk. SC/ST, PH, Women and Ex-Serviceman do not require Fee stamp.

Candidates opting for applying Online can visit the website: http://ssconline.nic.in and do as instructed on the website. Before applying online, candidates should deposit Exam fee of Rs.100 through Net banking or through depositing fee challan from any branch of State Bank of India.
If any candidates, willing to deposit exam fee through State Bank of India, then he/she will first require to register in Part-I registration by visiting the above website. After Part-I registration they can deposit the fee in State Bank of India and then only they can register Online for Part-II registration. Candidates who want to pay fee through Net banking, Credit card or Debit card can directly go for Part-II registration.
After successful registration, make print-out of registration copy appears on computer screen.

Last Date to Apply: 
To apply Online—last date is 10th August 2011.
For Offline—Application should reach within 12th August (19th August for candidates residing in North-Eastern states along with Tripura and Nicobar- Andaman Island)
