DEPARTMENT OF LEGAL METROLOGY, GOA IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 14 POSTS OF INSPECTOR LEGAL METROLOGY, JUNIOR STENOGRAPHER, LABORATORY ASSISTANT AND LOWER DIVISION CLERK. LAST DATE — 23/09/2019
1. INSPECTOR LEGAL METROLOGY
No. of Vacancies: 05 Nos. (UR-03, ST-01, OBC-01)
Educational Qualification: i) Graduate of a recognized University in Science (with Physics as one of the subjects), Technology or Engineering OR holds a recognized Diploma in Engineering with 03 years professional experience.
ii) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
Age Limit: Maximum 45 years as on 30.08.2019.
2. JUNIOR STENOGRAPHER
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (UR)
Educational Qualification: i) Higher Secondary School Certificate or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
ii) Should be Computer literate.
iii) Speed of 100 wpm in Short Hand and 35 wpm in typewriting.
iv) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
Age Limit: Maximum 45 years as on 30.08.2019.
3. LABORATORY ASSISTANT
No. of Vacancies: 03 Nos. (UR-02, OBC-01)
Educational Qualification: S.S.C.E. or equivalent qualifications.
Desirable: i) Experience in working of Weights and Measures.
ii) Knowledge of local languages.
Age Limit: Maximum 45 years as on 30.08.2019.
4. LOWER DIVISION CLERK
No. of Vacancies: 05 Nos. (UR-01, ST-01, OBC-01, ESM-01, CFF-01)
Educational Qualification: i) Higher Secondary School Certificate from a recognized Board or equivalent.
ii) Should be Computer literate.
iii) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
Age Limit: Maximum 45 years as on 30.08.2019.
Only candidates having 15 years of residence in Goa are eligible to apply for the posts.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Skill Test and Written Test wherever applicable.
