NUCLEAR POWER CORPORATION OF INDIA LIMITED (NPCIL) INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 68 POSTS OF STIPENDIARY TRAINEES/ TECHNICIAN-B, STIPENDIARY TRAINEES/ SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT-B AND SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT/ C (SAFETY SUPERVISOR). LAST DATE — 11.07.2019

 

1. STIPENDIARY TRAINEES/ TECHNICIAN-B
No. of Vacancies: 42 Nos. (UR-18, SC-09, OBC-12, EWS-03)
Discipline wise vacancies:

i) Plant Operator: 11 posts
ii) Electrician: 07 posts
iii) Electronics Mechanic/ Instrument Mechanic: 09 posts
iv) Fitter: 08 posts
v) Machinist: 01 post
vi) Welder: 01 post
vii) Draftsman: 01 post
viii) Plumber: 02 posts
ix) Carpenter: 02 posts

Educational Qualification:
i) For Plant Operator:- a) HSC (10+2) or ISC (with Science subjects) with not less than 50% marks in Science and Mathematics individually.
b) Should have English as one of the Subjects at least at SSC level Examination.

ii) For rest of the disciplines:- a) SSC (10 years) with minimum 50% marks in Science subjects and Mathematics individually and 02 years ITI Certificate Course in Electrician/ Electronic Mechanic/ Instrument Mechanic/ Fitter/ Machinist/ Welder/ Draftsman/ Plumber/ Carpenter.
b) Should have English as one of the subjects at least at SSC level Examination.
c) For trades for which the duration of the ITI course is less than 02 years, the candidates shall have at least one year relevant working experience after completion of the course.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 24 years as on 11.07.2019.
Basic Pay: Rs.21,700/- initially per month.

 

2. STIPENDIARY TRAINEES/ SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT-B
No. of Vacancies: 25 Nos. (UR-12, SC-03, ST-01, OBC-07, EWS-02)
Discipline wise vacancies:

i) Mechanical Engineering: 08 posts
ii) Electrical Engineering: 06 posts
iii) Electronics Engineering/ Instrumentation Engineering: 04 posts
iv) Civil Engineering: 03 posts
v) Physics: 03 posts
vi) Chemistry: 01 post

Educational Qualification:
i) For Mechanical Engineering:- Diploma with not less than 60% marks in Mechanical Engineering.
ii) For Electrical Engineering:- Diploma with not less than 60% marks in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
iii) For Electronics Engineering/ Instrumentation Engineering:- Diploma with not less than 60% marks in Electronics, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering.
OR
Diploma with not less than 60% marks in Instrumentation, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering & Control Engineering.
iv) For Civil Engineering:- Diploma with not less than 60% marks in Civil Engineering.
Note (for the above disciplines):

i) The Diploma in Engineering should be of three years duration after SSC/ HSC.
ii) Should have English as one of the subjects either at SSC or at HSC level examination.
ii) Candidates with HSC plus 02 years Diploma course in Engineering (Approved by AICTE) with 60% or above marks are also eligible.

v) For Physics:- a) B.Sc. with a minimum of 60% marks. B.Sc. should be with Physics as principal and Chemistry/ Mathematics / Statistics/ Electronics & Computer Science as subsidiary OR with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects with equal weightage. Candidates having Mathematics as the principal subject at B.Sc. are not eligible.
b) Mathematics at H.S.C. (10+2) level is essential. Should have had English as one of the subjects either at SSC/ SSLC or HSC level examinations.

vi) For Chemistry:- a) B.Sc. with a minimum of 60% marks. B.Sc. should be with Chemistry as principal and Physics/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Electronics& Computer Science as subsidiary OR with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects with equal weightage. Candidates having Mathematics as the principal subject at B.Sc. are not eligible.
b) Mathematics at H.S.C. (10+2) level is essential. Should have had English as one of the subjects either at SSC/ SSLC or HSC level examinations.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 11.07.2019.
Basic Pay: Rs.35,400/- initially per month.

 

3. SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT/ C (SAFETY SUPERVISOR)
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (UR)
Educational Qualification: i) Three years full time Diploma in Engineering in any branch with minimum 60% marks from recognized Institute.
ii) One year full time Diploma in Industrial Safety from recognized Institute.
Experience: Minimum 04 years of industrial experience after obtaining Diploma in Engineering.
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years as on 11.07.2019.
Basic Pay: Rs.44900/- initially per month.

 

Note: Candidates who have appeared for the qualifying examination but whose results are not declared as on 11.07.2019 are not eligible to apply.

The vacancies are for Madras Atomic Power Station (MAPS). The candidates will be posted at Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited, Madras Atomic Power Station (MAPS), Kalpakkam.

The selected candidates for the post of Stipendiary Trainees/ Technician-B will be required to undergo 02 years training at Madras Atomic Power Station (MAPS) (or) any of the Nuclear Training Centers of NPCIL. The candidates will be paid a Stipend of Rs.10,500/- for 1st year & Rs.12,500/- for 2nd year per month. For the post of Stipendiary Trainees/ Scientific Assistant-B, the selected candidates will undergo 1½ years training at any of the Nuclear Training Centres of NPCIL. The candidates will be paid a Stipend of Rs.16,000/- for 1st year & Rs.18,000/- for 2nd year per month.

The candidates selected for the post of Scientific Assistant/ C (Safety Supervisor) will be on Probation for a period of One year.

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination, Trade/ Skill Test and Interview wherever applicable. The Written Examination will be held at Chennai.
