1. STIPENDIARY TRAINEES (CATEGORY- II)
No. of Vacancies: 43 Nos. (NRB, Kalpakkam: 28 posts (SC- 06 , OBC- 12, UR- 08, EWS- 02) and NRB, Tarapur: 15 posts (OBC- 03, UR- 11, EWS- 01))
Trade wise vacancies:
i) Plant Operator: 07 posts
ii) Laboratory Assistant: 04 posts

Educational Qualification:
i) For Plant Operator:- HSC in Science stream (with Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects) with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate.
ii) For Laboratory Assistant:- HSC in Science stream (with Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects) with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate.
OR
SSC (with Science and Maths) with a minimum 60 % marks in aggregate plus trade certificate in Laboratory Assistant.
iii) For rest of the trades:- SSC (with Science and Maths) with a minimum 60 % marks in aggregate plus trade certificate in Fitter/ Welder/ Turner/ Electrician/ Instrument Mechanic/ Electronic Mechanic/ AC Mechanic.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 22 years as on 07.08.2019.
Pay: Rs.21700/- or Rs.25500/- per month.
2. TECHNICIAN/C (BOILER OPERATOR)
No. of Vacancies: 03 Nos. (UR-02, EWS-01) (For NRB, Kalpakkam)
Educational Qualification: SSC plus I Class Boiler Attendant’s Certificate issued by the Competent Authority.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 07.08.2019.
Pay: Rs.25500/- per month.
3. TECHNICIAN/B (PAINTER)
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (PWD) (For NRB, Kalpakkam)
Educational Qualification: SSC (with Science and Maths) with a minimum 60 % marks in aggregate plus trade certificate in Painter.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 07.08.2019.
Pay: Rs.21700/- per month.
The vacancies are in Nuclear Recycle Board (NRB), Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Kalpakkam & Tarapur.
The candidates selected as Stipendiary Trainees (Category- II) will be given two years training at Nuclear Recycle Board (NRB), Kalpakkam and Nuclear Recycle Board (NRB), Tarapur. During the training period, candidates will be paid Stipend of Rs.10500/- per month for the 1st year and Rs.12500/- for the 2nd year. Upon successful completion of training, trainees will be considered for selection to the post of Technician/B or Technician/C depending on their performance during the period of training. For the post of Technician/C (Sl. No. 2) and Technician/B (Sl. No. 3), the candidates will be appointed on Direct Recruitment basis.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Physical Standards (Stipendiary Trainees):
(i) Height — 160 cms; (ii) Weight — 45.5 Kg.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Preliminary Test, Advanced Test and Trade/ Skill Test. The Preliminary Test, Advanced Test and Trade/ Skill Test will be held in Chennai and Mumbai centers only.
