Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is going to conduct an All India Examination for recruitment of “Sub-Inspector (Executive)” in Delhi Police. Graduate boys/girls may apply through Online from the official website of SSC within the prescribed date. Selection will be through Written Examination followed by Physical test, Medical Examination and Interview/Personality test. F. No. 3/1/2012–P&P-II. 1. Sub-Inspector (Executive) Male candidates—
Open for all candidates: 260 Nos. (Gen-167; SC-29; ST-29; OBC-35)
Departmental candidates: 32 Nos (Gen-16; SC-5; ST-2; OBC-9)
Ex-Serviceman : 32 Nos. (Gen-16; SC-5; ST-2; OBC-9)
2. Sub-Inspector (Executive) Female candidates—
Open for all: 11 Nos. (Gen-9; SC-1; OBC-1)
Qualification Required: Minimum Graduate (Bachelor’s degree) pass in any discipline from recognised University or equivalent.
Male candidates must posses valid LMV (Light Motor Vehicle- Motorcycle & Car) License on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Standard Test.
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 20yrs to 25yrs as on 1/8/2012. Age relaxation for OBC— 3yrs; SC/ST-5yrs; Widows/legally separated women— 5yrs and all other categories under reservation is as per norms.
Pay Scale: Rs.9300—Rs.34800 and Grade pay—Rs.4200
Physical Standards: —
For Male—
Height: 170 cms (152 cms for SC/ST and 165cms for candidates belonging to Hill areas and regions)
Chest (unexpanded/ Expanded): 85/ 81cms (80/76cms for candidates belonging to Hill areas and regions)
Weight: Corresponding to height and age as per medical requirement.
For Female—
Height: 157 cms (152cms for SC/ST and 152cms for candidates belonging to Hill areas and regions)
Weight: Corresponding to height and age as per medical requirement.
Candidates Selection: Selection will be made through All India Written Examination conducted by SSC followed by Physical Efficiency Test and Interview-cum-Personality test.
Written Examination will of 100 marks. There will be two papers and questions will be of Objective Multiple Choice Type in Hindi and English. Paper-I will consist the following topics — (i) General Intelligence and Reasoning (50 marks); (ii) General knowledge and General Awareness (50 marks), (iii) Quantitative Aptitude (50 marks) and (iv) English Comprehension (50 marks). Paper –II will be of – English Language & Comprehension (200 questions of 200 marks). Time allotted—2hrs in each paper. There will be negative marking for wrong answer.
All India Examination for recruitment of Sub-Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Policewill be on 19th August 2012, Sunday.
Physical Efficiency Test (For Male candidates excluding Departmental and Ex-serviceman candidates)
(a) 1600 meters race in 6 minutes and 45 seconds (qualifying)
(a) Broad Jump/Long Jump : 13 ft. (to be achieved in three chances)
(b) High Jump : 3 ft 6 inches (to be achieved in three chances)
For Female candidates excluding Departmental and Ex-Serviceman candidates)
a) 1600 meters race in 8 minutes (qualifying)
b) Broad Jump/Long jump : 10 ft. (to be achieved in three chances)
c) High Jump 3 feet (to be achieved in three chances)
For PET eligibility for Departmental and Ex-serviceman, please refer the Advt. available on the official website of Delhi Police and Staff Selection Commission (Website address given below).
Qualified candidates from Written test and PET will be called for Interview-cum-personality test. On basis of performance candidates will be shortlisted for Medical Examination.
Application Fee: Rs.100 only for General and OBC candidates. SC/ST, Women Candidates, Ex-serviceman do not require fee. Application fee is to be paid through SBI Challan from any branch of State Bank of India or through Netbanking from SBI.
How To Apply: Candidates must apply online only from the official website of SSC— http://ssconline.nic.in or http://sscregistration.sifyitest.com.
Online registration is available in two parts, Part-I and Part-II. Candidates must first do Part-I registration. After submitting Part-I registration form, candidates should print-out the Fee Payment challan receipt and should deposit the requisite fee through any branch of SBI.
After making fee deposition, candidates should go for Part-II registration. They should revisit the above mentioned site and login using the details provided to them during Part-I registration. SC/ST/Women and categories exempted from Application fee can skipped directly to Part-II registration after completing Part-I registration.
In Part-II registration, candidates will have to upload scan copy of their passport size image and scanned signature.
After successfully making Part-II registration, candidate may print-out the system generated application and retain safely for future correspondence.
N.B: Do not send print-out application or any documents to the Commission’s address. All the documents in original will be verified during test/interview, if called.
