West Bengal Government—for works purpose in Department of Public Health Engineering Department, Municipal Affairs Department and Labour Department, the recruitment of “Surveyor”, “Draftsman” and “Ward Master Grade-III” is carrying by Public Service Commission of West Bengal (PSCWB). Advt.No.16/2011. Details below—

Surveyor: 26 Nos. (Gen-13, SC-6, ST-2, OBC “A”- 3, OBC “B”- 2)
Item No.1
Qualification: Madhyamik candidates with Surveyor course pass from ITI and work experience of minimum 3yrs in the field may apply for the post.
Job will be in Public Health Engineering Department
Age: within 37 yrs of age.
Payscale: Rs.7100 – Rs.37600 and Grade pay: Rs.3600

Surveyor: 15 Nos. (Gen-5, SC-6, ST-1, OBC “A”- 1, OBC “B”-2)
Item No.2
Qualification: Same as above post. Job will be in Municipal Affairs Department.

Draftsman: 10 Nos. (Gen-4, SC-4, OBC “B”-2)
Item No.3
Qualification: Madhyamik pass candidates with Trade Certificate in Draftsman from ITI and work experience of minimum 3yrs in Civil Engineering drawing’s work may apply for the post.
Age: within 37rs of age.
Payscale: Rs.7100 – Rs.37600 and Grade pay: Rs.3600

Ward Master Grade-III: 10 Nos. (Gen-4, SC-3, OBC “A”-1, OBC “B”-1, PH-1)
Item No.6
Qualification: Graduate candidates, in any discipline, may apply for the post. Job will be in Labour Department.
Age: within 37yrs of Age
Payscale: Rs.7100 – Rs.37600 and Grade pay: Rs.3600

For all the above mentioned posts, Age should be counted as on 1-1-2011. Age relaxation for OBC-3yrs, SC/ST- 5yrs and PH- as per norms.

Selection of Candidates: Candidates may be selected through Interview. Screening Test or Written Test may hold only if the No. of candidates applied increases to certain limits.

How to Apply: Candidates may prepare the application format on plain fullscope paper (21x30cm) and then fill it with own handwriting.

Along with application format, following documents should be enclosed. The documents can be attested from either Gazetted Officer or Self-attested—

  • Attested copy of Madhyamik Certificate
  • Attested copies of all Educational and ITI certificates
  • Attested copies of Caste Certificate and PH certificate
  • Attested copy of Experience certificate, if any
  • One copy recent passport size photograph with self-signed on it (pasted on the application form)
  • Crossed Postal Order or Treasury Challan of Rs.110 (for the post of Item No.6) or Rs.160 (for the post of Item No.1,2,3) in favour of – “The Secretary, Public Service Commission, West Bengal” and payable at—“GPO Kolkata”. Challan is available from Govt. Treasury or Reserve Bank of India on the title—“0051-00-105-State PSC Examination fees-001-Examination fees-16-other fees”. No fee is required for SC/ST and PH candidates.

If a candidate wills to apply for more than one post then he/she can do so by preparing Postal order/Treasurer Challan separately and send the application on separate envelope.

Last Date: Application form should reach within 20th December 2011 at the following address—“The Secretary, Public Service Commission, West Bengal, 161-A, S.P. Mukherjee Road, Kolkata- 700 026”.
Application can be also submitted directly by visiting the above address during office hours.
