India Post, Tamilnadu Circle – Recruitment of 107 PA/SA, Postman & MTS. Last Dt. 22/09/2014

Department of Post, Tamilnadu Circle is recruiting 107 Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant, Postman and Multi Tasking Staff against Sports Quota vacancies. Meritorious sportsperson who meets the below laid qualification may apply for the vacancies. Application can be made on prescribed format only (See PDF below). INDIA POST, TAMILNADU INVITES SPORTSPERSON FOR 107 POSTS OF POSTAL ASSISTANT/SA, POSTMAN AND MTS. LAST DATE — 22/09/2014

1. Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant: 49 Nos.
Qualification: 10+2/ Class 12 with English as a compulsory subject (excluding vocational streams) and should have studied local language of the State or Union Territory of Tamilnadu Postal Circle or Hindi as a subject at least in Matriculation or equivalent.

2. Postman: 24 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation/ Class 10 pass

3. Multi Tasking Staff: 34 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation pass or ITI pass.

Sports Eligibility (Applicable to all posts): Candidates shall have represented the country in an INTERNATIONAL competition OR shall have represented a State/Union Territory in the Senior or Junior Level National Championship or National Games OR shall have represented a University in an Inter-University competition OR shall have represented the State Schools in the National Sports/Games for Schools OR Candidates shall have awarded National Award in physical efficiency under National Physical Efficiency Drive. Age Limit (For all posts): Minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years as on 22/09/2014. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – Ten years and for others Five years.

Pay Scale:
(a) Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant :- Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2400+ admissible allowance
(b) Multi Tasking Staff :- Rs.5200 – 20200 + grade Pay Rs.1800+ admissible allowance
(c) Postman :- Rs. 5200 -20200 + grade pay Rs.2000 + admissible allowance

The duly filled Application form shall reach the below address by Speed post or by Registered post only. Superscribe the name of the post applied for on the top of the application containing envelope.

Application Fee: Rs.100/- shall be paid in any of the computerized post offices in Tamilnadu Postal Circle through e – Payment specifying Direct Recruitment of PA/SA/PM/MTS under sports quota and Division/Unit for which he / she is applying. Candidates shall enclose the original receipt with the application.
