1. Assistant Engineer (Electrical): 300 Nos.
Vacancies as per discipline:
(a) Electrical & Electronics Engineering: 273 posts (SC-39, SC(A)-09, ST-03, MBC-52, BC-71, BCM-09, GT-83 and PWD-07)
(b) Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Instrumentation Engineering: 21 posts (SC-03, ST-01, MBC-05, BC-05, BCM-01, GT-06)
(C) Computer Science Engineering / Information Technology: 06 posts (SC-01, MBC-01, BC-02, BCM-01, GT-01)
Educational Qualification: A degree in EEE/ECE/EIE/CSE/IT Engineering. OR A pass in AMIE (Sections A and B) under Electrical Engineering Branch.
Age Limit: Minimum- 18years and maximum- 30 years (should not have completed) as on 01.07.2015
Pay Scale: Rs.10,100 – Rs.34,800 and Grade pay Rs. 5100 /-
2. Assistant Engineer/ Mechanical: 25 Nos. ( SC-04, SC(A)-01, MBC-04, BC-07, BCM-01, GT-07, PWD-01)
Educational Qualification: A degree in Mechanical/ Production/ Industrial/ Manufacturing Engineering. OR a pass in AMIE (Sections A and B) under Mechanical Engineering Branch.
Age Limit: Minimum- 18years and maximum- 30 years (should not have completed) as on 01.07.2015
Pay Scale: Rs.10,100 – Rs.34,800 and Grade pay Rs. 5100 /-
3. Assistant Engineer / Civil : 50 Nos. ( SC-08, SC(A)-01, MBC-09, BC-14, BCM-01, GT-14, PWD-03)
Educational Qualification: A degree in Civil Engineering. OR a pass in AMIE (Sections A and B) under Civil Engineering.
Age Limit: Minimum- 18years and maximum- 30 years (should not have completed) as on 01.07.2015
Pay Scale: Rs.10,100 – Rs.34,800 and Grade pay Rs. 5100 /-
Note: Candidates should possess adequate knowledge of Tamil
Upper Age Relaxation: There is no age limit for SC, SC(A), ST, MBC/DC, BCO, BCM and Destitute Widows of all castes.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test / Viva- voice/ Interview. Examination will be held at Chennai, Coimbatore, Vellore. Villupuram, Erode, Thiruchirapalli, Madurai and Tirunelveli.
Candidates selected for the post will be on training for three months and during training period stipend Rs.15, 200/- per month will be paid.
