PRINCIPAL CHIEF COMMISSIONER OF INCOME TAX, WEST BENGAL & SIKKIM IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 20 POSTS OF TAX ASSISTANT AND MULTI TASKING STAFF AGAINST SPORTS QUOTA VACANCIES. LAST DATE — 09/09/2019
1. TAX ASSISTANT
No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos.
Educational Qualification: i) Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
ii) Having Data Entry Speed of 8000 key depressions per hour.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years as on 09.09.2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200/- with Grade Pay of Rs.2400/-
2. MULTI TASKING STAFF
No. of Vacancies: 18 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent pass from a recognized Board/ Council.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 09.09.2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200/- with Grade Pay of Rs.1800/-
NAME OF THE GAMES/ SPORTS: Football, Cricket, Basketball, Athletics, Bridge, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Swimming, Golf, Boxing, Weight lifting and Carrom.
SPORTS ELIGIBlLITY:
The candidates should have participated in any of the games/ sports mentioned above and and considered meritorious with reference to the following criteria:-
Sports-persons having represented:
i) The Country in an International Competition with the clearance of the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports; or
ii) A State/ UT in the Senior or Junior Level National Championships organised by the National Sports Federations recognized by Department of Youth Affairs and Sports or National Games organized by Indian Olympics Association; or
iii) Their University in the Inter-University Tournaments conducted by Association of Indian Universities or the Inter-University Sports Board; or
iv) The State School Teams in the National Sports/ Games for schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation; or
v) Sportspersons who have been awarded National Awards in Physical Efficiency under the National Physical Efficiency Drive.
The vacancies are under Meritorious Sports Persons Quota. Only Meritorious Sportspersons (Men/ Women) are eligible to apply for the post of Tax Assistant and Multi Tasking Staff.
The selected candidates will be on Probation for two (02) years. The candidates will be posted at any place in West Bengal and Sikkim Region.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable as per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of evaluation of their performances in last three years (i.e., 2016, 2017 and 2018), Age, highest achievement in their career in respective sports events, Ground Proficiency Test and Data Entry Skill Test (only for the post of Tax Assistant).
