Recruitment of 29 posts of Tax Assistant and Notice Server in West Bengal Income Tax Department.
The Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Kolkata, is inviting application for the Recruitment of Meritorious Sportsperson for the post of Tax Assistant and Notice Server. The post are on temporary basis but likely to be permanent. The probation is of 2 years. Qualification and Age details given below:
1. Name of the Post: Tax Assistant
No. of Vacancies: 20 Nos. (GEN- 12; OBC- 4; SC- 2; ST- 2)
Educational Qualification: (i) Degree of a recognized University or Equivalent (ii) Having Data Entry Speed of 8000 key depression per hour.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200; Grade pay: Rs.2400
2. Name of the Post: Notice Server
No. of Vacancies: 9 Nos. (GEN- 6; OBC- 2; SC- 1)
Educational Qualification: Madhyamik Pass (Matriculation) or its equivalent
Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200; Grade pay: Rs.2000
Age Limit (For both posts): 18yrs to 27yrs as on 31-12-2010 (Relaxable age as per govt. rule for meritorious sportsperson- for GEN/OBC: 5yrs; SC/ST: 10yrs; Departmental candidates of GEN/OBC: 8yrs; Departmental candidates of SC/ST: 13yrs)
Sports Eligibility: The candidates should meet the following criteria and should have represented:-
- A State/Country in a National or International Competition in any of the games/sports (list given below)
- Their University in the Inter-University Tournaments conducted by the Inter-University Sports Board in any of the games/sports (list given below)
- The State Schools Team in the National Sports/Games for schools conducted by All India School Games Federation in any of the games/sports (listed below)
- Sports-person who have been awarded National Awards in Physical Efficiency under National Physical Efficiency Drive
Selection Procedure: Short listed Candidates will have to go through following test (i) Ground/Proficiency Test (ii) Written Test and (iii) Interview

Some points to Candidates applying for the post:
- Candidates should affix recent color passport size photograph on the application form and should get attested by a Gazetted Officer
- Candidates should enclose all the attested copies of documents in support of claim regarding date of birth, educational qualification, sports eligibility certificates, casted certificate and etc.
- Application duly signed and completed in all respect should be send through post or by hand before the closing date- 31.12.2010 at the address mentioned above.
- Sports achievements certificate certified by the bodies/ authorities other than recognized bodies by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Welfare shall not be accepted.
- A declaration to the effect that the candidates is working at any place under CCIT (CCA), West Bengal Region, should be submitted along with the application.
