Delhi Government’s—Delhi Sub-Ordinate Service Selection Board is recruiting 7020 Boys and Girls for the post of “Teacher (Primary)” and “Assistant Teacher (Primary)”. Higher Secondary boys/girls with below mentioned criteria may apply for the posts. Advt.No. 004/2009—

1. Name of the Post: Teacher (Primary)
Post Code: 70/09
Vacancies: 6500 Nos. (Gen-2886; OBC-1610; SC-939; ST-1065) among them PH- 251Nos.
Qualification: Higher Secondary pass from recognised Board or Institute may apply. Candidates may have Hindi as one of top subject in their Madhyamik level exam and English as one of top subject in their Madhyamik/Secondary level exam.
Candidates should have 2years Basic Teachers Training Course’s (J.B.T/ E.T.E) Certificate/Diploma from recognised Institute, OR may have passed B.L.Ed Course.
Pay Scale: Rs.9610- Rs.34800.
Job will be on probation for first 2years. Posting will be in Delhi Municipality undertaking schools as a Group-“B” Non-Gazetted Officer.

2. Name of the Post: Assistant Teacher (Primary)
Post Code: 71/09
Vacancies: 520 Nos. (Gen- 186; OBC-148; SC-36; ST-150) among them PH candidates- 37 Nos.
Qualification: Higher Secondary pass from recognised Institute or Board may apply. Candidates may have Hindi as one of top subject in their Madhyamik level examination.
Candidates should have 2 years’ Basic Teachers Training Course’s (J.B.T./E.T.E) Certificate/Diploma from recognised Institute, OR may have passed B.L.Ed Course.
Pay Scale: Rs.9610- Rs.34800
Job will be on Delhi Directorate of Education, Group-“B” Non-Gazetted Officer’s post.

Age Limits: For both above mentioned posts; age of the candidate should be within 30 years as on dated- 15-01-2010. Age relaxation: OBC-3yrs, SC/ST-5yrs and PH-10yrs

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Test. First there will be Preliminary Test and then Main Test. Date and venue of examination centre will be informed through Call Letters. How to Apply: Application can be prepared on plain A-4 size paper as per given format which can be found on above mentioned official website. Along with Application form enclosed the following attested copies of the documents—

  • Madhyamik Certificate
  • All Educational certificates along with Mark sheet of Madhyamik and Higher Secondary exam
  • Experience Certificate, if any
  • Caste Certificate (for SC/ST and OBC Categories)
  • PH Certificate for PH candidates
  • Discharge certificate (for Ex-Serviceman)
  • 2 recent color passport size photo (one pasted on application and other should be attached with application after attesting it from Gazetted Officer)
  • One self addressed post-card with affix postal stamp of Rs.6 (on the post-card, write—Name of the post….., Advt. No.004/2009, Post Code……..)
  • Crossed Postal Order of Rs.100 in favour of—“The Secretary, DSSSB” and payable at—“Krishna Nagar Head Post Office, Delhi-110051”. No fee required for SC/ST and PH categories.

N.B: Those candidates who have applied for these posts before (i.e. during 2009/2010 as per Advt.No.004/2009)are not required to resubmit the form again. They should only send the Postal Order of Rs.50 only (on the back of postal order, mention your name, father’s name, date of birth, IPO’s Numbers of previously given Postal Order and ID No.)
Candidates who have applied before but do not send new postal order of Rs.50; their application will get rejected.

Last date to apply: Application should reach within 17th October at the following address—“The Secretary, Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board, FC-18, Institutional Area, Karkardooma, Delhi-110 092″.
