Candidates aspiring to become Teachers for Classes I to V (Lower Primary) & Classes VI to VIII (Upper Primary) in Government and Private Schools in the State of Assam may appear for Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (TET)- 2019. TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST (TET)- 2019.
1. FOR LOWER PRIMARY LEVEL (CLASSES I TO V)
Educational Qualification: i) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 02 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 04 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 02 year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
OR
Graduation and 02 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) obtained from any recognized Institution. For more details please see the Official Advt.
ii) A person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Guideline dated 11th February, 2011, may also apply for TET.
2. UPPER PRIMARY LEVEL (CLASSES VI TO VIII)
Educational Qualification: i) Graduation and 02 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and 01 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 04 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 04 year B.A./ B.Sc. Ed. Or B.A. Ed/ B.Sc. Ed.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and 01 year B. Ed.(Special Education).
ii) A person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Guideline dated 11th February, 2011, may also apply for TET.
Only candidates having permanent residence in the state of Assam are eligible to apply.
Candidates aspiring to become Teachers for Classes I to V (Lower Primary) & Classes VI to VIII (Upper Primary) in Government and Private Schools in the State of Assam may appear for Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (TET)- 2019.
Note: Relaxation up to 5% in the academic marks in HSSLC or Graduation will be applicable for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PWD.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Paper-I (Lower Primary) and Paper-II (Upper Primary) Examination. The Examination will be held on 20/10/2019 at various centres in Assam State. For details please see the Official Advt.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs. 325/- (Rs. 300/- for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PWD candidates) as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking or any other option available. Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
