TEACHERS’ ELIGIBILITY TESTÂ FOR POST GRADUATE TEACHERS
Educational Qualification: Post-Graduation with at least 50 % marks (or its equivalent) from recognized University and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from National Council for Teachers Education recognized Institution, but degrees obtained from off campus and distance education institutions will not be considered as valid.
Age Limit: Not be less than 21 years.
Only candidates who are permanent resident of Assam are eligible to apply.
Candidates’ Selection: The Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) will be held in two papers i.e. Paper-I and Paper-II. The examination will be held on 10th January, 2021 at the following zones:- Barpeta, Bongaigaon, Darrang, Dhubri, Diphu, Dibrugarh, Guwahati, Haflong, Jorhat, Lakhimpur, Kokrajhar, Nagaon, Silchar, Tezpur and Dhemaji. To qualify in TET Examination the candidate must score at least 60% marks in each paper (5% relaxation in marks will be given for candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ MOBC/ PH candidates).

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Application Fee of Rs. 500/- (Rs. 300/- for SC/ ST/ OBC/ MOBC and PWD candidate). Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking or any other option available. How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of Secondary Education Department of Assam — http://ssa.assam.gov.in (See Application form’s link given below) from dated 20/11/2020 to 30/11/2020.
Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO SECONDARY EDUCATION DEPARTMENT OF ASSAM AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
