1. SPECIAL TECHNICAL ASSISTANT
No. of Vacancies: 35 Nos. (UR-18, OBC-07, SC-08, ST-02)
Educational Qualification: Full time three years’ Diploma in Electronics and Tele-Communication/ Radio/ Wireless Engineering from a recognized Institute.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years as on 01/01/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs. 6300/– Rs. 20200/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 4400/-
2. EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
No. of Vacancies: 37 Nos. (UR-11, OBC-10, SC-12, ST-04)
Educational Qualification: i) Passed Graduation with 40% marks.
ii) Proficiency in English language with minimum speed of 80 WPM in short hand.
iii) Proficiency in operation of MS Office.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years as on 01/01/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs. 6300/– Rs. 20200/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 3600/-
3. OFFICE EXECUTIVE
No. of Vacancies: 100 Nos. (UR-54, OBC-18, SC-22, ST-06)
Educational Qualification: i) Graduation in any Discipline with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized University or Graduation in any Discipline with minimum 50% marks in H. S. level.
ii) Must have passed certificate course/ any other courses on computer from the Institute indicated below:
a) ‘O’ Level Course of DOEACC Society, Govt. of India.
or
b) One year course in Computer Application from any Institute recognized by West Bengal State Council of Technical Education.
or
c) One year diploma course in Modern office Practice and management from any institute recognized by WB State Council of Technical Education.
or
d) Course of Computer Operation and programming Assistant (Basic Skill and / or Advance skill) from Regional Vocational Training Institute, Director General of Training & Employment, Govt. of India.
or
e) Secretarial practices (Basic Skill and/or Advance Skill) from Regional Vocational Training Institute, Director General of Training & Employment, Govt. of India.
or
f) Passed twelve standards in vocational stream from State Council of Vocational Training, Govt. of West Bengal with any of the following combination:
– Computer fundamentals and Programming and Computer Assembly and Maintenance.
– IT enabled services and Computer Fundamentals and Programming.
iii) Three years full time Bachelor Degree in Computer Application (BCA) or Bachelor Degree in Business Administration (BBA) or Bachelor Degree in Science with Honours with Statistics or Bachelor Degree in any stream with Computer Application/ Computer Science as a pass subject with 50% in aggregate from a recognized University or 50% in HS with three years full time Degree in the Bachelor level with the subjects indicated in the foregoing lines of this provision.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years as on 01/01/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs. 6300/– Rs. 20200/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 3600/-
4. LINESMAN
No. of Vacancies: 150 Nos. (UR-82, OBC-26, SC-33, ST-09)
Educational Qualification: Madhyamik or equivalent plus Trade Certificate under NCVT from any recognized ITI in the trade Wireman or Electrician.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years as on 01/01/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs. 6300/– Rs. 20200/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 2600/-
The selected candidates will be on probation for a period of one year.
Note: For all the above posts, candidates must have the ability to read, speak and write in Bengali/ Nepali language.
For the post of Linesman, the selected candidates will have to undergo three months training in the Staff Training Centre of WBSETCL at Kalyani and their absorption to the post of Linesman will be subject to passing in the written examination to be conducted by WBSETCL authority after completion of the training.
Reserved Category candidates from the States other than West Bengal shall be treated as General Candidates.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and PWD candidates will get age relaxation up to 45 years of age. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Test, Computer Proficiency Test (CPT), Stenography Test and Personal Interview where applicable.
