TECHNICIAN APPRENTICE
No. of Vacancies: 100 Nos. (GEN-41, SC-20, ST-05, OBC-22, EWS-10, PH-02)
Branch wise vacancies:
i) Electrical- 20 posts
ii) Mechanical- 20 posts
iii) Metallurgy- 30 posts
iv) Chemical- 10 posts
v) Civil- 10 posts
vi) Instrumentation- 10 posts
Educational Qualification: i) Passed out Diploma in Engineering in the concerned specialisation from a recognized Institute.
ii) The candidate must have passed out 10th/ Matric exam under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent.
iii) Candidates possessing higher professional qualifications such as B.E. or equivalent will not be considered and will not be given any additional weightage.
iv) Candidates who have already registered/ undergone/ undergoing for Apprenticeship Training under the Apprenticeship Act elsewhere are not eligible.
v) Candidates who have passed out diploma earlier than 2017 will not be able to apply for apprenticeship.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 28 years as on 28/02/2020.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable as per Govt. norms.
The candidates will undergo Apprenticeship Training for a period of One year at Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), IISCO Steel Plant, Burnpur under the Apprentices Act 1961.
Candidates’ Selection: The candidates will be selected on the basis of merit based on marks obtained in Diploma in Engineering.

Upon successful submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO STEEL AUTHORITY OF INDIA LIMITED (SAIL)- IISCO STEEL PLANT AT THIS STAGE.
