Technicians in Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). Centralised Employment Notice No. 04/2012 (Corrigendum). Last Dt. 31/07/2012 (16/08/2012)

Railway Recruitment Boards, Under Ministry of Railways, as per Centralised Employment Notice No. 04/2012, is recruiting 12042 persons for the post of “Technician” in Grade—II and Grade—III. The recruitments will be carried in all participating RRB around India. The eligible candidates should prepare application form as per format on A4 size bond paper and should sent it by Ordinary Post at the respective address of concerned RRB. Brief details on eligibility criteria is given below—

Technician: 12042 Nos. (Gen—5814; SC—1889; ST—1355; OBC—2991). Out of them Ex-Serviceman—1114 Nos.

Age limit: between 18yrs to 30yrs as on 1/7/2012. Upper age relaxation for OBC—3yrs; SC/ST—5yrs; PWD—10yrs; Widow, legally separated, divorced women—8yrs; For Ex-serviceman and other categories under exempted categories—as per norms.

Pay Scale: For Technician Gr.II/Signal – ` 5,200 – 20 200 (GP ` 2 400), for all other Technician Gr.III Categories – 5,200 – 20 200 (GP ` 1 900).

Selection Steps: Selection will be made through Written Examination. After written exam there will be documents verification. The Questions will be of objective type with multiple choice and are likely to include questions pertaining to General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence and reasoning and Technical Ability. Questions paper will be set in Hindi/ English/ Urdu and Regional language of the concerned RRB of the State.
There will be negative marking for wrong answers.
Finally qualified candidates will have to go through Medical Examination (Medical Fitness test)
Date of Written Examination: 16/12/2012. List of shortlisted eligible candidates will be available on the website of respective RRB in due course.

Examination fee: Examination fee of ` 60/- for Technician Signal Gr.II & ` 40/- for all other Technician Gr.III categories is to be paid in form of Crossed Demand Draft or Indian Postal Order in favour of — ‘Assistant Secretary or Secretary or Member Secretary or Chairman, Railway Recruitment Board’ of RRBs concerned.
No examination fee for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Persons with Disability Women/Minorities Economically Backward candidates having annual family income less than ` 50,000/-

How to Apply: Application is to be made on prescribed proforma filled by candidates in own handwriting. Some RRB may also provide the facility of Online application. In such cases candidates may apply online from the website of respective Railway Recruitment Board. Website address of participating RRB’s is given below.
Enclose the following documents along with the Application form—

• Indian Postal Order or the Bank Draft for the amount as prescribed
• 2 Nos. color passport size photographs (one copy pasted on form and other copy firmly stitched to the application)
• Attested copy of Educational/ Professional certificate, as applicable for the post applied.
• Madhyamik/HS certificate for proof of date of birth.
• Attested copy of Caste Certificate/ PWD certificate. Ex-Serviceman should give self-attested copy of discharge certificate
• Self-attested copy of Light/Heavy vehicle driving license, if applicable for a post.
• Any other such attested relevant documents which may support the eligibility for the post.

Candidates may apply for posts in more than one RRB in separate Application but they should aware that the Written Examination in all participating RRB will be on same day.

Railway Recruitment Board, Corrigendum to Notification – CEN 04/2012 were as follows —

1. Changes in Educational Qualification criteria:  The educational qualification required for the posts of Technician (Gr-III) in various Trades under Railway Recruitment Board of Patna, Gorakhpur, Kolkata, Bhopal, Malda, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bhubaneshwar,  Ranchi, Secunderabad, Bangalore, Jammu & Srinagar and Chandigarh, is changed.
2. Added new Vacancies: New vacancies, 536 posts, have been added in RRB’s of Gorakhpur and Jammu & Srinagar.
3. Added new line in the paragraph where candidates made declaration on Application form, (refer the corrigendum notification given below)
4. Last Date Extended: The last date of Application form submission is extended to 31st July 2012 instead of 16th July and 16th August 2012 is scheduled for far flung candidates.

Last date to make Application: Application form completed in all respect should reach on and within 16th July 2012 31st July 2012 (5 PM) and 16th August for far flung areas.
Application form should reach by Ordinary Post at the respective address of RRB’s or can be also dropped in the box kept at the premises of RRB Offices concerned during office hours within the prescribed last date.

Important: On the top of the Application form containing envelope, superscribe — “Application for the Post/s of _____Category No/s.____ Centralised Employment Notice No.______ & Community (SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-SM)”.
