Join Territorial Army as an Officer — Indian Army is inviting application from eligible Male candidates for an opportunity to serve the nation as a Territorial Army Officer without leaving their primary profession. Only Male citizens of India who meets the below prescribed qualification/ eligibility norms may apply. JOIN TERRITORIAL ARMY AS AN OFFICER.

ELIGIBILITY NORMS: —
Educational Qualification: Graduate from any recognized University in any discipline.

Candidate’s Profession/Employment: Candidates can be Self-Employed or employed in Central/State Govt. or in Private Sector/Semi-Govt. Sector.
Serving employees of Police/ Navy/ Army/ Air Force or Para Military Forces/GREF are not eligible to apply.

 

Age Limit: between 18yrs to 42yrs as on 30/06/2015

 

Recruitment is based on the concept of enabling motivated young men to serve in a military environment without having to sacrifice their primary professions, i.e. selected candidates will be able to continue with their primary profession or jobs. Candidates will both serve the nation as a civilian and as a Territorial Army.

Candidates will be selected through Written Examination and Interview. Successful candidates from Interview will further undergo a Service Selection Board (SSB) and Medical Board for final selection.

Written examination will be hold on 02nd August,2015 in two parts — Part-I: Essay writing & comprehension (In English); Part-II: Objective type question on General Awareness, issues related to Political/Economic, Current Affairs (both national & International), Mental Aptitude, English Grammar & Reasoning.

Call letters with examination details, venue and exact date and time will be dispatch to the eligible candidates in due course.
Examination centre will be at – Chandigarh, Lucknow, Patna, Kolkata, Shillong, Jaipur, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Udhampur and Srinagar.

 

Training after selection of the candidates —
There will be one month basic training in the first year of commission and Two months annual training camp every year including the first year and Three months Post Commissioning training within first two years at IMA Dehradun. Pay and Allowances and privileges will be same as Regular Army Offices (See the advt.)

 

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format. Application form can be print-out/downloaded from the official website of Indian Army — www.indianarmy.gov.in.

The Application form shall be enclosed with a Self-addressed envelope (28x12cms) affixed with postal stamp of Rs.27/- and two passport size photographs.

The verification of original documents in respect of qualification, age and etc will be done at the time of Interview.
