The vacancies are for various Refineries namely- Guwahati, Barauni, Gujarat, Haldia, Mathura, Panipat, Digboi, Bongaigaon and Paradip. The candidates will be engaged as Apprentices under Apprentices Act, 1961/ 1973 (as amended) in the Trade/ Discipline mentioned below. The Apprenticeship Training will be for a period of 12 months/ 15 months/ 24 months as applicable. 1. TRADE APPRENTICE

Educational Qualification:
i) For Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) discipline:- Three years B.Sc. (Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/ Industrial Chemistry).
ii) For Fitter (Mechanical) discipline:- Matric with two years ITI (Fitter) course.
iii) For Boiler (Mechanical) discipline:- Three years B.Sc. (Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/ Industrial Chemistry).
iv) For Secretarial Assistant discipline:- Three year B.A./ B.Sc/ B.Com.
v) For Accountant discipline:- Three year B.Com.
vi) For Data Entry Operator discipline (Fresher Apprentices):- Class XII pass.
vii) For Data Entry Operator discipline (Skill Certificate Holders):- Class XII pass with Skill Certificate holder in Domestic Data Entry Operator.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 24 years as on 31/10/2019.
2. TECHNICIAN APPRENTICE

Discipline wise vacancies:
i) Chemical- 271 posts
ii) Mechanical- 164 posts
iii) Electrical- 215 posts
iv) Instrumentation- 96 posts
Educational Qualification:
i) For Chemical discipline:- Three years Diploma in Chemical Engineering/ Refinery & Petro-Chemical Engineering.
ii) For Mechanical discipline:- Three years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
iii) For Electrical discipline:- Three years Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
iv) For Instrumentationdiscipline:- Three years Diploma in Instrumentation/ Instrumentation & Electronics/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 24 years as on 31/10/2019.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category.
The candidates with prescribed qualification of Class XII/ Graduate/ Diploma should have minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ ST and PwBD category candidates) in aggregate. For ITI qualification in the relevant trade, eligibility will be pass marks.

Note:-
i) A candidate should not have undergone Apprenticeship Training earlier or has been pursuing Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices Act.
ii) Candidates having undergone training and/or having job experience for a period of one year or more after the attainment of the qualification will not be eligible for being engaged as Technician Apprentices.
iii) Candidates who have completed three years after acquiring the prescribed qualification will also not be eligible for engagement as Technician Apprentices.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Test and Document Verification. For candidates applying for Apprenticeship at Guwahati, Barauni, Gujarat, Haldia, Panipat, Digboi and Bongaigaon Refinery, Written Test will be conducted at the location of respective Refinery Unit. For candidates applying for Apprenticeship at Mathura and Paradip Refinery, Written Test will be conducted at Delhi and Bhubaneswar respectively. The tentative date of Written Test is 24/11/2019. Tentative date of Document Verification is 04/12/2019 to 11/12/2019.
