TRADE APPRENTICES
No. of Vacancies: 248 Nos. (UR-122, EWS-12, SC-41, ST-08, OBC-65)
The vacancies are in the following Trades:- Fitter, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic and Machinist.
State wise vacancies:
i) Tamil Nadu and Puducherry- 121 posts
ii) Karnataka- 78 posts
iii) Telangana- 22 posts
iv) Andhra Pradesh- 27 posts
Educational Qualification: i) Matric with 02 year ITI course in respective trade from a recognized University/ Institute.
ii) The candidates who have undergone Apprenticeship earlier or pursuing Apprenticeship Training in an Industry as per the Apprenticeship Act, 1961/ 1973 as amended from time to time or job experience for a period of 01 year or more are not eligible to apply.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 24 years as on 31/12/2019.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category.
The candidates will undergo apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961/ 1973 (as amended from time to time) at Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL)- Southern Region (Marketing Division) in the designated Trade/ Disciplines.
Candidates possessing higher professional qualifications are not eligible to apply.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Test. The Written Test will be conducted at Chennai, Hyderabad, Vijaywada and Bangalore on 09th February, 2020.
