United India Insurance Company Ltd (UIICL) is recruiting 323 candidates for the post of “Administrative Officer (Scale-I)” in Generalist and Specialist (Discipline -Finance, Automobile Engineering, Legal). Total No. of vacancies – 323 Nos. (Gen—170; SC—45; ST—21; OBC—87)

No. of vacancies in Specialist Discipline —
— Finance: 60 posts.
— Automobile Engineering: 10 posts.
— Legal: 10 posts.

No. of vacancies in Generalist: 243 posts.

 

Educational Qualification:
(i) For Generalist Stream: Degree/Graduate in any discipline or equivalent qualification from recognized University.

(ii) For Specialist Stream: Degree in the relevant discipline or equivalent qualification:

• Finance: Chartered Accountant (ICAI)/Cost Accountant (ICWA)/MBA Finance* /M.Com/B.Com
• Automobile Engineering: B.E/B.Tech in Automobile Engineering OR Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with Diploma (at least one year duration) in Automobile Engineering
• Legal: Degree in law or equivalent qualification

 

Age Limit: A candidate must be minimum 21 years and the maximum 30 years as on 01/10/2014. i.e. Candidate must have been born not earlier than 2-10-1984 and not later than 1-10-1993 (both days inclusive). Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; Widow/Divorced women/legally separated women – 09yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Domicile of J&K—05yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.

 

Pay Scale: Rs.17240 – Rs.32640 plus other allowances as per norms. Emoluments – Rs.37000/- per month in Metropolitan centres.

 

Candidates’ Selection: The selection of the candidates will be through Screening test and Main examination (online multiple choice objective type) Descriptive Test and interview.
All the candidates who qualify the screening test (objective type) to be conducted tentatively on 28 or 29th December 2014 through online mode will be called to appear for main examination. The finally qualified candidates will be called for interview. For details, see the PDF below.

Examination will be hold at various centres across the Country. For State West Bengal, the examination centre will be at — Asansol, Bardhaman, Berhampore, Durgapur, Hoogly, Howrah, Kalyani, Kolkata/ Great Kolkata, Siliguri and Dumkal.

The vacancies are substantially in Western and Southern Zones of the Country and the candidates selected will be posted mostly to the offices in Southern/Western zones.

 

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Application Fee of Rs.500/- (Rs.100/- for SC/ST and PWD candidates). Fee can be paid through online system during submission of online application using Debit/Credit card or Net banking.
