Name of the Post: ASSISTANT
Number of Vacancies: 364 Nos. (Gen—364; SC—95; ST—61; OBC—164)
The numbers of vacancies are further breaks up into State wise. See officially released advertisement for more details. Candidates can apply for vacancies in one State only and will have Online test to opt for a Centre of that particular state.
Number of Vacancies in State West Bengal alone: 18 Nos. (Gen—11; SC—00; ST—03; OBC—4)
Educational Qualification: Graduate from a recognized University OR Higher Secondary/ Class 12 pass with 60% marks (50% for SC/ST and PWD)
And candidates should have proficiency in local/regional language of the State/UT where he/she wishes to apply.
Age Limit: 18—28yrs as on 30/06/2014, i.e. born not earlier than 1st July, 1986 and not later than 30th June, 1996 (both days inclusive). Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; Domicile of J&K—05yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.
Pay Scale: Rs.7640 – 21050.
Selection of the candidates will be through Online examination, Interview and Computer Proficiency Test. Final selection will be made on the basis of performance in the Online Test, Interview and Computer Proficiency Test taken together.

Application Fee: General and OBC candidates shall pay Application Fee of Rs.450/- and SC/ST/PWD candidates shall pay Rs.75/- only.
