Recruitment of Officers at the University of North Bengal
Inspector of Colleges – 01
Educational Qualification:
A Master’s degree with at least 55% of the required marks, or its equivalent grade on a point scale, is required, wherever grading systems are used.
At least 15 years of experience as a senior lecturer, reader, or assistant professor
Experience in educational administration in academic institutions like universities or institutions of higher learning, of which 5 (five) years must be spent in a university or a postgraduate study center.
Age limit: Maximum age for the post is 40 years.
Pay Scale:
Audit & Accounts Officer – 01
Educational Qualification:
Consistently strong academic record with a Master’s degree in finance or commerce and a minimum score of 55%, or the equivalent grade on a point scale, wherever grading is used.
At least five years of senior-level experience in audit and accounting work that involves management, planning, and control of audits and accounts.
Age limit: Age not below 35 years
Pay Scale: 79800/- – 211500/-
Officer-in-Charge, Watch & Ward – 01
Educational Qualification:
The applicant must be a graduate and have at least 10 years of experience in any government, semi-government, or other groups maintaining security, law, and order, watch, or ward. Former members of the Army and/or police may also apply.
The candidate has to be in good health. He must live in the university housing as a full-time officer and is required to do so.
Age limit: Maximum 50 Years.
Pay Scale: 57700/- – 182400/-
Senior Research Physicist – 01
Educational Qualification:
A solid master’s degree in physics, astronomy, mathematics, or space science with at least 55% of the possible points (or an equivalent grade using any point system used) and a track record of excellence in the classroom.
A Ph.D. in space science or high energy cosmic ray physics.
Five or more years of post-Ph.D.
Research experience in high energy cosmic ray physics or space science, with at least eight highly regarded publications.
A PDF-based experience is preferred.
Age limit: Maximum 35 Years.
Pay Scale: 79800/- – 211500/-

Fees for applications are as follows:
Rs. 5000 for positions in Pay Level 14 Candidates.
Rs. 3000 for positions in Pay Level 12 Candidates.
Rs. 1200 for positions in Pay Level 10 Candidates.
Selection Process:
The selection process will be decided by the University of North Bengal. Candidates will be informed from time to time by the university.
