ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) is recruiting 07 Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and Unskilled Labour. The vacancies are under ICAR/ Niti Aayog funded projects entitled “Incentivizing Research in Agriculture: Genetic modification to improve biological nitrogen fixation (in bacteria)” and “Mass- Production of Manure/ Fertilizer from Agricultural Bio-mass”. The candidates will be appointed on Contractual basis initially for a period of One (01) year, which may be extended periodically subject to performance of the candidate till the termination of the project. 1. SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW
No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos.
Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Agrl Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences. Those with 03 years Bachelor’s degree must have UGC/ CSIR/ ICAR NET or GATE qualification or equivalent or Ph.D. in any of above disciplines or equivalent/ Ph.D in any of the above disciplines or integrated (B.Tech + M.Tech., 05 years) in relevant subject.
Desirable: i) Demonstrated experience in basic molecular biological techniques, gene cloning, gene function and characterization.
ii) Basic bioinformatics tools of sequence analysis, expression analysis.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years for Men and 40 years for Women.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.31000 per month
2. SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW
No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos.
Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Agrl Microbiology/ Soil Science/ Life Sciences. Those with 03 years Bachelor’s degree must have UGC/ CSIR/ ICAR NET or GATE qualification or equivalent or Ph.D. in any of above disciplines or equivalent/ Ph.D in any of the above disciplines or integrated (B.Tech + M.Tech., 05 years) in relevant subject.
Desirable: i) Demonstrated experience in basic microbiological techniques, soil enzyme estimations, Soil physical & chemical analysis. Knowledge of mass production of microbial inoculants.
ii) Ability to work in field.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years for Men and 40 years for Women.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.31000 per month
3. UNSKILLED LABOUR
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Minimum school education.
Experience: Field and lab experience of at least 03 years.
Desirable: Experience in field and lab operations, field survey, sampling of plant and soils for analysis and basic working skills of lab maintenance and glassware cleaning.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.14000 per month
4. UNSKILLED LABOUR
No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Minimum school education.
Experience: Field experience of at least 03 years.
Desirable: Experience in field and lab operations, field survey, sampling of plant and soils for analysis and basic working skills of lab maintenance and glassware cleaning.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.14000 per month
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable as per Govt. norms.
