Union Public Service Commission is inviting application for Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination, 2016. On basis of this examination, candidates will be selected to 270 posts of Assistant Commandants in CAPFs. CENTRAL ARMED POLICE FORCES (ASSISTANT COMMANDANTS) EXAMINATION, 2016

ASSISTANT COMMANDANTS
No. of Posts: 270 Nos.

Candidates who will qualify this examination will be posted in following Central Armed Forces:

i) Border Security Force (BSF): 28 posts

ii) Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF): 97 posts

iii) Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP): 87 posts

iv) Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB): 58 posts

 

Educational Qualification:  Bachelor’s degree

 

Age Limit (For all above posts/discipline): Minimum-20 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years as on 01/08/2016.

 

Physical Standards:
Height: (i) For Men — 165 cm (ii) For Women — 157 cm.
Chest: (i) For Men — 81 cm (plus expansion by 5 cms), (ii) For Women — (Not applicable)
Weight: (i) For Men— 50 kg., (ii) For Women — 46 kg.

Note: Cut-off in Height and Chest for ST and Hill areas/ NE States will be as per norms. See PDF file given below.

Candidates must meet the prescribed Physical and Medical Standards for admission to Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants), Examination, 2016 as specified (See PDF file below).

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination, Physical Efficiency Test, Medical Standards Tests and Interview/ Personality Test. Written Examination will be held in various centre across the Country on 26th June, 2016.

Exact Date, Time and Venue for examination/interview will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course as well as such information will be also available in the official website of Union Public Service Commission

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.200/- as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. Fee Challan can be downloaded from the official website of Union Public Service Commission. See released advertisement for more details.

NO EXAMINATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF FEMALE/SC/ST CANDIDATES.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
