UPSC CDS 1 2024 Eligibility
Educational Qualification:
- For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy:
- Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
- For Indian Naval Academy:
- Degree in Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
- For Air Force Academy:
- Degree from a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering
Age:
- Minimum Age: 20 Years
- Maximum Age: 24 Years
UPSC CDS Bharti 2024 Application Fees:
Candidates, except Female/SC/ST candidates exempt from fee payment, are required to remit a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only). The payment can be made either by cash at any Branch of SBI, through Visa/Master/Rupay Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment, or via internet banking facilities of any Bank.

ENGLISH
The English paper evaluates candidates’ comprehension and effective use of language.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE
General Knowledge covers current events, scientific aspects of everyday observations, and knowledge expected of an educated person. It includes questions on the History of India and Geography.
ELEMENTARY MATHEMATICS
ARITHMETIC
- Number System: Natural numbers, Integers, Rational, and Real numbers.
- Fundamental operations, decimals, percentages, applications to interest, profit and loss, ratio and proportion, variation.
ELEMENTARY NUMBER THEORY
- Division algorithm, prime and composite numbers, divisibility tests, multiples and factors, factorization theorem, H.C.F. and L.C.M., logarithms.
ALGEBRA
- Basic Operations, polynomials, quadratic equations, simultaneous linear equations, set language, rational expressions, indices.
TRIGONOMETRY
- Sine, cosine, tangent, trigonometric tables, simple identities, heights and distances.
GEOMETRY
- Lines, angles, plane figures, theorems on triangles, parallelograms, circles, and their properties.
MENSURATION
- Areas of squares, rectangles, parallelograms, triangles, and circles. Surface area and volume of various geometric shapes.
STATISTICS
- Collection and tabulation of statistical data, graphical representation, and measures of central tendency.
INTELLIGENCE AND PERSONALITY TEST
The SSB procedure comprises two stages:
(a) Stage I
- Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests.
- Picture Perception and Description Test (PP&DT).
- Shortlisting based on performance in OIR Test and PP&DT.
(b) Stage II
- Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests, and Conference.
- Conducted over 4 days to assess the candidate’s personality and officer-like qualities.
- Equal weightage is given to assessments by Interviewing Officer (IO), Group Testing Officer (GTO), Psychologist, and Conference.
