UPSC — Civil Service Examination-2014 for 1291 vacancies under various Services. Last Dt.30/06/2014

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is inviting application for Preliminary Examination of the Civil Service Examination for recruitment to posts under various Services (See PDF below). Examination Notice No. 09/2014-CSP. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online through the official website of UPSC within 30/06/2014. Educational norms and brief details are given below —

CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION – 2014. 
Number of vacancies to be filled on basis of the examination: 1291 Nos.(Tentative vacancies) Out of which 26 vacancies reserved for PH categories. Reservation for SC/ST and OBC will be as per Govt. norms.

Eligibility/ Minimum Qualification: Degree in any discipline.
Candidates awaiting result may also apply.
Candidates possessing professional and technical qualification degree are also eligible to apply.
Candidates who have passed MBBS and may have or not have completed their internship may also apply.
Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Civil Services Examination, 2014 as per guidelines (See PDF given below)

Age Limit: A candidate must have attained theage of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on the 1st of August, 2014 i.e., he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1982 and not later than 1st August, 1993.
Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.

Candidates submitting the online Application form will sit for Preliminary Examination of the Civil Services Examination-2014. Candidates who will qualify this examination will further go for Main Examination which will be announced later and will have to apply again.
Paper will be Objective Type Question and there will be negative marking for wrong answer. For examination details, please see the below given PDF file which is an officially released advertisement.

The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admission Certificate three weeks before the commencement of the examination. The e-Admission Certificate will be made available on the UPSC website [www.upsc.gov.in] for downloading by candidates. No Admission Certificate will be sent by post.
Preliminary Examination is scheduled to hold on 24th August, 2014.

Examination Fee: Rs.100/- is to be paid through any branches of SBI by cash or can be paid through Net Banking. For cash deposit use Fee payment Challan which will be generated automatically upon submission of online application form. Refer the advt. for details.
NO FEE FOR SC/ST/ PH AND ALL WOMEN CANDIDATES.

While filling in his/her Application Form, the candidate should carefully decide about his/her choice of centre for the Examination.

After successful submission of Part-I and Part-II of Online Application form, the system generated Registration Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it and shall retain it safely for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY HARD COPY OF APPLICATION TO THE COMMISSION AT THIS STAGE.
