Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will be conducting a Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2015 for admission to various Courses listed below. Examination Notice No. 2/2015-CDS-I. Interested and eligible candidates may apply for the vacancies through official website of UPSC (Online Mode) (See link given below). Educational Qualification norms and brief details are given below —
UPSC INVITES APPLICATION FOR COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAMINATION (I) 2015. APPLY ONLINE WITHIN 05/12/2014.
Name of the Course and Number of vacancies are as follows —
1. Indian Military Academy, Dehradun 140th Course: 200 Nos.
Qualification: Degree in any discipline or equivalent
Date of Birth: 02/01/1992 to 01/01/1997 (both dates inclusive)
Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply.
2. Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala Course: 45 Nos.
Qualification: Degree in Engineering
Date of Birth: 02/01/1992 to 01/01/1997 (both dates inclusive)
Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply.
3. Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course: 32 Nos.
Qualification: Degree (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Date of Birth: 02/01/1992 to 01/01/1996 (both dates inclusive)
Candidates below 25 years old should be unmarried. Married candidates above 25 years are eligible to apply.
4. Officers Training Academy, Chennai, 103rd SSC Course (for Men): 175 Nos.
Qualification: Degree of a recognized University
Date of Birth: 02/01/1991 to 01/01/1997 (both dates inclusive)
Both married or unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply.
5. Officers Training Academy, Chennai 17th SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course: 12 Nos.
Qualification: Degree of a recognized University
Date of Birth: 02/01/1991 to 01/01/1997 (both dates inclusive)
Only unmarried female candidates are eligible to apply. Female Widow/Divorcee not remarried are also eligible to apply.
How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of UPSC — upsc.gov.in (See live URL to Application form given below) on or before 05th December, 2014 (till midnight).
Application Fee: Rs.200/- is to be paid by General and OBC candidates either by depositing the money in any branch of SBI by cash or by using net banking facility during submission of online Application form.
SC/ST and all Female candidates are exempted from payment of Application Fee.
Upon successful submission of online application form, the system generated Registration Slip with unique Registration Number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it and should retain the safely for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT TO UPSC AT THIS STAGE.
The Examination (Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2015) for above said courses will be hold by UPSC on 15th February, 2014.
The last date for submission of online Application form is 05/12/2014.
