COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAMINATION (II), 2016 (INCLUDING SSC WOMEN (NON-TECHNICAL) COURSE).
Name of the course and Number of vacancies are as follows:—
1. Indian Military Academy, Dehradun— 143rd Course commencing in July, 2017 [Including 19 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate (Army Wing) holders]
Total Vacancies: 150 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Degree or equivalent qualification. Only unmarried male candidates may apply.
Age Limit: Born not earlier than 2nd July, 1993 and not later than 1st July, 1998
2. Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala—Course commencing in July, 2017 Executive (General Service) [including 06 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders (Naval Wing)].
Total Vacancies: 45 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Degree in Engineering. Only unmarried male candidates may apply.
Age Limit: Born not earlier than 2nd July, 1993 and not later than 1st July, 1998
3. Air Force Academy, Hyderabad—(Pre-Flying) Training Course commencing in July, 2017 i.e. No. 202/16F/P
Total Vacancies: 32 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Degree (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering. Candidate below 25 years of age must be unmarried and candidates above 25 may either married or unmarried.
Age Limit: Born not earlier than 02nd July, 1993 and not later than 01st July, 1997,
4. Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai—106th SSC Course (for Men) commencing in October, 2017
Total Vacancies: 175 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Degree or equivalent qualification. Male candidates married or unmarried may apply.
Age Limit: born not earlier than 2nd July, 1992 and not later than 1st July, 1998
5. Officers Training Academy, Chennai—20th SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course commencing in October, 2017
Total vacancies: 11 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Degree or equivalent qualification.
Age Limit: Unmarried women born not earlier than 2nd July, 1992 and not later than 1st July, 1998.
Note: Candidates who are studying in the final year or awaiting Result can also apply. But such candidates will have to produce their result at the time of Interview.
Physical Standard:
(i) Male candidates: Height — 157.5 cms. (157 cms for Navy’s vacancies and 162.5 cms for Air Force)
(ii) Female candidates: Height – 152 cms.
(For Gorkhas and individuals belonging to hills of North-Eastern region of India, Garhwali and Kumaon, the Minimum acceptable height will be 5 cms less. In case of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum acceptable height can be reduced by 2 cms).

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination and Interview. Examination will be held at various centres across the country.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.200/- as Application Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan.
