(i) GEOLOGIST, GROUP ‘A’- 24 posts
(ii) GEOPHYSICIST, GROUP ‘A’- 17 posts
(iii) CHEMIST GROUP ‘A’- 06 posts
Educational Qualification:
(i) For Geologists: Master’s degree in Geological Science or Geology or Applied Geology or Geo-Exploration or Mineral Exploration or Engineering Geology or Marine Geology or Earth Science and Resource Management or Oceanography and Coastal Areas Studies or Petroleum Geosciences or Petroleum Exploration or Geochemistry or Geological Technology or Geophysical Technology from a recognized University/ Institute.
(ii) For Geophysicists: M.Sc. in Physics or Applied Physics or M.Sc. (Geophysics) or Integrated M.Sc. (Exploration Geophysics) or M.Sc (Applied Geophysics) or M.Sc. (Marine Geophysics) Or M.Sc. (Tech.) (Applied Geophysics) from University/ Institute.
(iii) For Chemists: M. Sc. in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry from a recognized University/ Institute.
Age Limit: Minimum-21 years and maximum-32 years as on 01.01.2018.
Category II (in the Central Ground Water Board , Ministry of Water Resources)
2. JUNIOR HYDROGEOLOGISTS (SCIENTIST B), GROUP A
No. of Vacancies: 23 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology from a recognized University/ Institute.
OR Master’s degree in Hydrogeology from a recognized University.
Age Limit: Minimum-21 years and maximum-35 years as on 01.01.2018.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Combined Geo Scientist and Geologist Examination, 2018 consisting of Written Examination and Interview/ Personality Test. Examination will commence from 29.06.2018 in the following centres- Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttak, Delhi, Dispur, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna, Shillong, Shimla and Thiruvananthapuram.
